What would this kind of connection imply? The Vertex and the North Node seem very similar to me. Would the effect be similar to N. Node conjunct N. Node? Would the connection be based on affecting each other's spiritual direction?

From what I know and have read NN conjunct vertex means a fated meeting. However, it's not a guarantee of a relationship necessarily lasting. I did have this with someone and their NN conjunct my vertex. It was a really deep, spiritual connection, and we both seemed to be conscious of learning so much from each other. I think the vertex person feels more maybe, or is more aware of the connection. IP: Logged |

"Fated meeting" is the feeling I got in regards to this person except we didn't actually meet personally.Do you think this kind of connection would be detected even without interacting with the person at all? My situation is a little odd in the sense that I saw pictures of this person (who is an acquaintance of a close friend) and I felt an instant sense of familiarity. Not necessarily a sense of recognition, but a very strong, almost magnetic attraction. I couldn't exactly define the attraction at first, but it was so strong it scared me. I took a lot at our synastry and his Vertex trines my NN while my Vertex conjuncts his NN. I suppose that could explain the magnetic attraction. I considered the possibility of a past life connection at first, but I don't think it's valid as I don't sense that specific type of familiarity. I do feel a powerful connection, kind of like I identify with him strongly on some level.

Some other aspects I just noticed. My Moon conjuncts his AC while his Moon is in my 4th house. His vertex conjuncts my DC My NN conjuncts his IC and his Venus I can see how all these NN connections would create that seemingly unjustified feeling of closeness. IP: Logged |

Would NN conjunct the IC explain the powerful sense of identification? I mean since the IC represents the core of the person in a way? What kind of effects would Vertex in aspect to NN have? I know the Vertex is a form of spiritual axis so would that mean that the spiritual channel is activated by the other person? IP: Logged |

I had this one with my last love, we "acted it out" in a way: I was the N.N.person - my N.N. cj his VERTEX by 1 dg. (Since my own Venus is cj. my own S.N. it also meant that my Venus was cj. his Antivertex!) To make it short: It may have been "fated" *) - but it was draining, unsatisfying, (mentally) abusive, manipulative ... and ended miserably. I wrote whole books about this relationship in this forum! ;-) I'm a woman aged 38, surely left "puberty" a while ... but never expreinced something as intense AND exciting AND draining in my life before. The relationships lasted almost 2 years, all in all. Being the N.N. person (my N.N. and his Vertex in Pisces) I strongly felt that I'd have to bring up more "compassion", "tolerance", "patience", "understanding" than I was used to hitherto. Also: I came to learn about some "Martyr"-tendencies in myself - something I NEVER would have guessed! So, after all .. It has been a learning experience for me. But, to be honest: It was SO painful - and for both sides. A strong (!!!) "obsessive" factor on both sides, btw. I guess: Even more obsession on his side - he seems to "cling" to that failed thing in a way, still today. The whole of our Synastry and Composite was loaded with so called "fated"/"karmic" aspects. In Synastry we had my Pluto cj. his Venus (by 1dg) for example, and also my IC/MC cj. his DSC/ASC (by 1 dg.) and so on and so forth. In our Composite he had Venus cj. Mars exactly, and so on and so forth ... It was THE MOST "KARMIC" Combo I've ever seen anywhere - and the most "karmic" thing I ever went through. It felt like a very hurtful "failure" - on both sides, I believe. "Karmic" does NOT necessarily mean "easy", "nice" or "running automatically". And, please: DON'T tell me that we'll meet again in one of our next lives to "resolve" our problems... ;-)!!! IP: Logged |

But I am sorry You will See everyone expects karma relationships to be soo fulfilling and nice and sweet BUT usually they are not they are rough and tumble and angst and can't live with cant live without scenerio Cause of all teh past life stuff bleeding into it. So yes karmic doesn't mean happy it means searching for balance. And most of the time the posesseive abusive soul is usually the one most scared to lose the other person. which they probaly had in the last life so leaks inconsciuosly into there heads and yeah.IP: Logged |

Virgovenusleo, very true. I do realize that some aspects are karmic and most of them aren't based on growth without some degree of difficulties. In this particular case though, I'm trying to figure out what the cause of the magnetic attraction is. I just get the feeling we're supposed to interact and build something on a spiritual level. There's a strong feeling of identification, too. And a type of attraction that is hard to discern precisely because it's mainly based on a 'sense of being' if that makes sense. It's funny that I felt something so intense in regards to someone I never even interacted with and the chart confirmed some singificant connections. IP: Logged |

yes that deep feeling is sually highly karmic as with all karmic releationships theere are always struggles. I think north node vertex is a very fated connectionIP: Logged |

Revived this thread, as my VERTEX conjuncts my son's NN, exact, so the fated meeting interpretation doesn't really fit, as we can say that for all parent-child relationships really - for good or bad, due to the deep effect they have on us.My PLUTO also conjuncts his VERTEX. Has there been any progression in thought regarding this aspect in synastry?
