I was thinking about them in a while. Does it mean that the planet person is not able to "act out" that part of himself with the other? Or that the other just can't see this part of that person?

Is there anything that could override the lack of expression of that planet so that it actually feels like both persons are satisfied with the result?
Some examples:

1) One of my best male friends. His Sun is unaspected in our synastry (save for the exact semisquare to my Moon). Yet we have a perfectly good friendship. I DO see him as a personality and i like it. And when he is around me, he can actually express himself freely. Could the fact that this unaspected Sun of his is in my 1st house (not conjunct the ASC, though, but the sign is the same) The other thing that might override the lack of Sun's aspects maybe that his 5th house ruler Venus exactly conjuncts my Moon, so maybe it acts as a secondary Sun, lol.

2)With other person - lack of Moon aspects, except for Moon quindecile Moon. Yet the relationship is full of heart and soul, we get each other, and he is emotional when it comes to me. Again - then maybe composite overrides it, because it has Moon exactly on IC and conjunct Pluto. Speak of emotions. And, of course, his 4th ruler Venus has many aspects to my chart, including a conjunction to an angle. Plus, my stellium of Sun,Venus, Mercury falls near his IC in his 4th .

3) My best friend - there are no significant aspects between her and my personal planets, none. Yet we became very close very quickly. We share secrets and know that we can trust each other. Only links i can get from that is nodes and Saturn - we have a DW of Saturn conjunct NN. Plus, my Sun exactly squares her nodes. Otherwise, nothing that would point to a friendship, though. At least, not a close one.

So i am confused about those unaspected planets, not from the examples, but overall!

Unaspected planets can be canceled out by good midpoint connections

It`s an interesting issue.
Usually I would think of unaspected planets as pretty problematic in synastry (esp. with personal or relationhip relevant planets).

However I am unsure if planets which are connected through tight 8th harmonic (semisquare and sesisquare) aspects, are really that unaspected, especially if it results in an aspect figures.

The reason I single out 8th harmonic aspects here is their presence in the lunar cycle.

There are 8 lunar phases and the intermediate phase happens at the semisquare/ sesisquare
(crescent and balsamic= semisquare; gibbuous and disseminating= sesisquare)

Additionally I would agree with Enneline in terms of close midpoint activation. That might pull a planet into the limelight that might seem unaspected otherwise, though I htink it would be stronger if it also coincided with aspects. like in a Yod figure where the apex planet and the opposing point are at the midpoint of the two sextile planets.

Also strong 4th house synastry, especially in terms of the 4th house ruler, can make for a lot of emotional closeness, belonging and intimacy.

Apart from that, if there is a really unaspected planet in synastry, it is really not that good thing to have (especially Moon, Venus, Mars, depending on how they are integrated in the charts). But in these cases where it happens, I would check the progressions. It might be that the planet becomes aspected temporarily, which actually is a double edged sword. While it may give a feeling initially that the energy is there, it might just be for the time being and once the progression passes you will be left wondering what on earth you ever saw in each other.

of course it also depends what orbs you are using. If you are like LIz Greene for example (and others, just thought of her at first) and using 10 degrees for conjunction, trine, square, opposition, well chances are rare you will ever happen to stumble across an unaspected planet.

If you use a 3 degree orb you might come across a lot of unaspected planets often.

Personally I am not sure, but would opt for something in between. lol
