let's take a moment and ask what exactly is the NN vs the SN?

Imagine your at a buffet and the north node would be the food that you have never tasted, smelled, experienced, and ate before ever in your life and it looks SOOOOO GOOD. That's the North Node.

The South Node is the food that you are so accustomed to eating, tasted, smelled, and experienced already over and over and over again. The South Node is the place of Comfort and Events and Actions that you have experienced over and over again to your soul's development.

"The Nodal axis is the balancing of energy the experiences and qualities of life that we have fully tasted and there are new ones that have yet to be savoured. However, one more point, before we turn the zodiac into a buffet wheel. We need to taste what those fruits have to offer and usually they are complementary dishes. The nodes when served in balance and when a life, combining the Nodes allows for the inflow and outflow of energy then we tend to become more balanced people."

The IC is the part of us that represents OUR SOUL, OUR ROOTS, OUR ANCESTORS, OUR EARLY FAMILY LIFE. things that we have gone through on a fundamental level within our soul in the beginning stages of our life. Its our family history and psychological roots.It is the unonscious part of us psychologically and familiarly and innermost feelings our habits that we have got accustomed due to the family background or immediate environment around us early in life. that feeling that we can go back home to in our soul,

"It is at the IC that matters regarding personal security and emotional underpinning come together. The sign on the IC is indicative of your attitudes and approach to such matters. It also describes personal needs as regards family, domestic stability, nurturance and emotional safety."

we also have to take notice of the ruler of the IC as well to see if the RULER of the IC is aspecting the NN's planets and/or asteroids or important midpoints in synastry as well.

Basically the NORTH NODE conjunct the IC in synastry means that the NN owner's growth or future spiritual path is VERY IMPORTANT and RECOGNIZES, LEARNS AND ACCEPTS the IC's early life growth and what things to them connect to them on a soul level. the NN is engaged with the IC owner and this feeling is indeed MUTUAL.....why??? Because anything that CONJUNCTS our IC in synastry makes us feel that the energy of that planet or point connecting to our IC is going to bring us COMFORT and an UNCONSCIOUS/CONSCIOUSNESS UNDERSTANDING a bit of both to our IC. It's like that person understands our IC, we feel that person has something to teach us ABOUT our IC (our family, early life, our soul, where we came from, our upbringing and family tradition and customs we got used to etc.), THE IC OWNER feels there's a spiritual familiar foundational UNCONSCIOUS connection here. The NN can SEE the IC's behavior they are unable to view in themselves. There is a TEACHING exchange involved here which is why the feeling of growing and comfort and the emotions of the unconscious is mutual here but exchanged in different ways.

To make it more simpler.....

The IC owner's past and private world teaches and makes the NN feel they can grow from the IC owner's past experience on the soul level. The NN owner's EVENTS that take place WITH the IC in fact TEACH the IC owner about there own soul, past and comfort and help the IC recognize there own soul, past, and comfort on a conscious level in a very illuminating positive view.

This connection is definitely on a SOUL level, ESPECIALLY if the RULER of the IC is also aspecting any of the NN's planets, asteroids, midpoints, house cusps or any angles etc. This indeed is a one of the most beautiful "SOUL" connections to have in synastry......

Angel, I just wanted to let you know that I think your post is beautiful. I wanted to reply to this thread, but I couldn't really think of the right words to do justice to the beauty of this aspect. I don't need to describe it, now, because you put it into such sweet words.

I have a double whammy of this with a close soulmate. Our conjunctions also include other angles because we both have NN on the AC-DC axis in our natals.

-His 12th house NN on his AC 0° conj. my IC in my 4th house
-My 7th house NN on my DC 2° conj. his IC in his 4th house

Since we have the double aspect, the Composite has NN conj. IC in 4th house, also.

Our IC rulers make aspects to each other's charts, too. For example, Venus rules my Libra IC conj. his Libra NN and AC, and his Venus is conj. my Venus and Sun as well as other aspects.

I agree with you that this creates a very strong bond and an incredibly deep pull. I can't really say it better than you did. Your description was very accurate and fit perfectly with the way I have experienced this aspect. Your interpretation was insightful, elegant, and very touching.
