I must extend an apology to the astrology I share with my Twin Flame; I was unnecessarily judgemental of it, taking for granted -- or not even really giving it a chance -- dazzled by the drama of the composite with a powerful Karmic Soulmate. It was as if I was a frustrated mother, quietly huffing, 'why can't you be more like your brother?' not even realising the child in question is actually in possessing of just what they need to be a phenomenal success. Or, more to the point, exactly what they're meant to do and be.Then, almost as if by magic, it began to release its finest secrets, becoming a treasure trove whose end is uncertain and indefinite. Some have been quite astonishing, but the only way to truly know them is by encompassing astrology as the synthesis of all three systems -- tropical, sidereal, and Draconic.
A great example is this:
We have a cross-system conjunction of the MOON and ASCENDANT. My dASC is 0º conjunct his MOON (tropical). Then my sMOON (sidereal) is 0º conjunct his dASC!
We can see there's a deeply established pattern between the MOON and the ASCENDANT; being two of the Big Three, there's a huge impact here. But there's a mutuality to it, as well. We are each the MOON, and each the ASCENDANT.
But how does that translate? What's actually going on here?
The ASC, for all its significance, is still a bit dodgy regarding solid interpretation. For the most part, we all agree there's a connexion to our temperament; personality and disposition, as well as our expression of 'self' in relationship to others -- especially the outside world. Some say it's in the most simple terms, 'the mask we wear'. What we show initially to others. Our basic 'persona'. The outer personality.
Then we have the MOON; the emotional profile; which rules our emotions, our instinct and the unconscious. The way we deal with our feelings, and what lies under the surface.
So what do we have when there's a powerful union -- a fusion -- of the MOON and ASC? We've seen this many times in significant relationships at the tropical synastry level; the mask and external personality of one is a match to the emotional being of the other. Specifically, that which we observe of another is the same as what we feel in ourselves.
But is this illusory or reality?
The sidereal MOON is a powerful force not discussed with too much regularity from the tropical vantage. It's our most honest, intuitive, and raw form of our emotions. It's that to which we resort when all of the outside world, its influences, and what has shaped us externally, falls away. It's the core of our emotional being on all levels.
The tropical MOON is the emotional toolbox we've adopted for the present lifeline; it's our set of abilities, traits and experiences for our current incarnation / observed timeline. These are things we integrate more readily over time as we age, incorporating those feelings, coping strategies, and elements of the emotional profile as we encounter more experiences which allow us to do so. As it reflects our childhood here, it's also laden with the deepest emotions involving all that's right, wrong, good and bad about it -- and our earliest lessons.
The sidereal MOON, on the other hand, is the repository of our most recent karma -- that which we last experienced, which still has its hooks in us -- deeply -- and affects us on a profoundly unconscious level; guiding our emotions, as if inexplicably. Bringing to us experiences that may seem disjointed, confusing, and to have no clear origin.
There's one overarching feature here, however; one which links both of these emotional conditions and states of being: the Draconic ASCENDANT.
But what is the Draconic ASCENDANT anyway?
There are a few ways to look at it; recalling how the entire Draconic chart is derived from the North Node -- in a very special position: 0º Aries, the Aries Point -- it's tied to the ultimate destination of our soul; its greatest evolution. Our spiritual path -- the route to enlightenment.
But what is our most enlightened external personality? Or is it not the sort which we most seek to embody? The outer mask, the means and manner by which we choose to present ourselves at our most evolved level?
For each of us, stages of the emotional being and its most intrinsic nature, is powerfully linked to this concept of the enlightened, evolved personality.
My deepest karmic self is somehow rooted in the most evolved version of his personality and view of the external world -- as well as how he's viewed. And vice versa. Ergo, my most raw, intuitive, and honest emotional self is a 'match' for that which is his most evolved personality.
Whereas what he experiences now as the root of his current emotional self is linked to my most evolved personality, and enlightened temperament. His emotional self as he currently knows it, and what he's grown into over time, is a 'match' for the personality which I am evolving as a consequence of being on my soul's path, and developing accordingly.
This is just one transdimensional 'double-whammy' aspect between us. But, for me, it was the doorway to beginning to understand the depth of our connexion, the 'pieces' we've aligned with, and through, one another, which allows us to 'travel together' across time.
What are some of yours?
