What in a chart can signify if you are on the same emotional level at the same period of time with another?

What I mean is, how do we understand if someone has moved on emotionally or still in the same emotional state with the other

Would transits maybe to a synastry chart be easier to point this out or the composite?

In my experience, a direct aspect between the two Moons is the major clue those two people are emotionally in sync. This could be good or bad, depending on the characteristics of their Moons, but it generally gives a great potential for "feeling" at the same time.

Their Moons are activated by each other, which gives a need of expressing emotions and needs to the other and this happens at the same time. Also, a transit to one Moon aspects the other Moon too, so they both feel the transit.
It is interesting to notice the interplay in this case, how each feels the transit, based on their aspect with the transit, still, there will be a synchronization of energies, which is great potential for being in sync, emotionally.

When the Moons are compatible with the Suns in synastry, and the general profile, a direct aspect between the two Moons can become a true gem, as per your question.

Another important criteria, IMO, is to have similar intensity/energy in the chart. Emotions and intensity of feeling don't come from the Moon only. To give an example I am familiar with, two Plutonians understand each other and resonate emotionally better than one non-Plutonian, one Plutonian. Sun/Moon contacts are crucial too, or contacts such as Moon near the other's angle. They resonate with each other emotionally, even if the Moons are not in a direct contact.
In fact, direct aspects between Moons in synastries is rather rare, statistically, not that common. When it happens, you can expect those two people to feel or do things with or about each other at the same time.

I see what you mean. So, if there is a conjuction say between the Moons, the two will have similar energies and reactions on an emotional level, also when they are being triggered with a similar transit.

In this story, our Moons are in a wide orb of 9 degrees conjuct. It might seem a lot but I think we both seem to be on an intense emotional level.

She is going through a transit Saturn conjuct her Moon right now, second pass.
I will be going through this lovely transit exact in a couple of months.

It seems as if she has stabilized and matured in emotional matters just a little before me. That's one thing I can think about

This is a great example. Since Saturn energy is processed slowly, chances are you resonate with this energy or at least understand what she is going through. It's important what Saturn does in each natal chart, for the influence could manifest differently. Moon conj Saturn usually makes us more introvert though, it brings a need to be alone and keep or discard emotional patterns.

Is it possible I extend this? to show our synastry chart and understand how Saturn is affecting our relationship at this time

Saturn is conjuct her Moon/Uranus at the time.. Trine with my Jupiter & Sun.
A lot of maturing has been taking place that's for sure. As I said, emotionaly on her part for starters.

tSaturn is also square her Sun..
I am at the beggining of a square to my natal Saturn

By the time Saturn leaves Sag he will be trine her Venus and sextile mine

Yes, I have hope for this relationship, even after all this devastating and bumpy rides it went through

On the other hand I am a little worried bout him opposing her Vertex conjuct my Karma..
There is a sense of Karma being brought to balance though

Saturn on Moon/Uranus will be a difficult lesson to integrate

This synastry is a bit scattered for my taste, but it does have some nice aspects (especially for friendship)

I bet.

Indeed it is a scattered synastry.. With karmic debt being resolved.
Friendship between us would be less intense I believe

I've been lucky enough to experience being emotionally in sync with another.

I share a 1 degree out of sign moon conjunction with him, plus sun/moon aspects. I'm quite Plutonian with scorp asc and sun/merc in my 8th. He has Pluto on his DSC. Plus our asc/DSC are conjunct 2 degrees.

I've never felt such emotional synchronicity with someone. We were talking about this just last night actually. We show up in one another's dreams with messages of comfort, think of each other at the same time. We're just so connected. There's an array of synchronisc events with a great deal of emotional attunement. We simply understand one another and it's a huge blessing to have in a world full of so much conflict. It's like we are one another's safe haven.
