That's a tricky one. And, when it comes to that relationship, I always find myself returning to The Newsroom; the series that ran during that time and was eerily similar in so, so many ways.

And, for those who'd prefer to skip the dramatic allegory above, it was very simple, in the end.

If SATURN feels as if they have been harmed in any way, or is unable to experience true intimacy for whatever reason -- anyone who's capable of 'making' them feel that -- is a threat. And, if, by some miracle, they were capable of thinking they could really love you, God help you if you tire of the runaround, or mistake their sincerity for the failure to commit that it appears to be -- they will never forgive you for it ...

... unless they decide to.

My karmic soulmate and I actually watched the final episode featuring the last clip together, as we made it a habit of watching the show together, whenever we could. That was ... hard. In discussing 'the episode', we were essentially talking about our relationship without actually discussing it -- as we were prone to do. I asked him, in short, what made Will McAvoy change his mind, and decide to forgive MacKenzie. I'll never forget what he said.

He couldn't forgive her until something allowed him to finally feel what she was feeling; to understand her pain. 'His own pain was too deep and too powerful to where it blotted out hers.' And, until something finally snapped him out of it and got him to realise it, 'he would keep on hurting her.'

I thought, I might be overanalysing this, but then he added:

'You of all people should understand that, Aub.'

You of all people. No. I wasn't overanalysing or 'reading into' anything. Whatever unforgivable error I committed at some point in our past had such weight and depth to prevent him from ever truly empathising with what I've gone through, to where, on some level, he feels justified in hurting me. And, yes -- at some point, he did openly admit that.

So, is SATURN attached as well? More so than I think they want to be.

I'd almost attribute some of the worst heartbreaks being between those where one has deep psychological wounds with strong SATURN synastry. It's not always a good thing. But, should you be dealing with an emotionally available, mature and loving individual? Indeed, SATURN can be wonderful.

In our case, it was not. He decided not to learn to heal, or try to be able to really love me.

My boyfriend did. It's no surprise that, through my last 'relationship', I learnt how to love myself in a way I hadn't before, and to stop becoming involved with complex, damaged men who were actively choosing against healing and ever loving me.

Frankly, I was flabbergasted when my boyfriend came to me, not more than a few days -- if that -- later, and completely independently, telling me that he wanted to be able to truly love me in the way that I deserve. March 2013. And so, the hard work of making that a reality began.

I'm free of the Will-and-Mac loop, minus the happy ending.

But, hey. Don't cry for me, Argentina. It all worked out far better than I ever could've hoped.

(Bear in mind, this last one's not exactly safe-for-work. Discretion and all that should apply.)

Shared this one because of how personal the song is to me. It 'haunted' me for months. I couldn't believe it when I later heard it on the series. Time definitely felt as if it slowed for that moment -- though, I don't think it actually had.

But he called me last night just telling me how there was no one like me and hinting on getting back together (which CANNOT happen). Even so, the conversation reduced me to tears. I don't go a day without thinking about what we had and wondering if I'll have anything close to it again.

In synastry, my Venus is trine his Saturn and opposite his Pluto. His saturn also squares my sun. As far as my Saturn, it trines his Mars and opposes his moon.

I think the composite is even more telling though. Our composite Venus is trine Pluto, which sits right on the DSC.
