There is something really big and mysterious with the synastry hard aspect between one's Saturn and the other's Nodes. I became really, really fascinated with this aspect recently. First it occured to me when i checked the synastry of two reality tv stars - Vicki and Brooks from the RHOC. She seems compltely and utterly infatuated with him despite her whole family and friends being against it. Her daugther is so disgusted with their union and with him, she banned her from seeing him, or else...the two of them broke up and got back together so many times, it's hard to keep a count. I expected a really hard core synastry and when i finally got my hands on their charts, JEE...couldn't be more boring!So plain.
They do have a tight Saturn - Node square, however. I thought, could it be? The binding factor, the karma, the unfathomable force to be together. Then I checked the synastry between Frida Kahlo and her infamous lover/husband Diego Rivera. So many times they pulled in and out of their relationship but remained ultimately unseparable for life. so much passion. Love. Hate. Another case of astonishing hot connection and a very boring synastry, yet - Saturn to Nodes aspect is indeed present in their synastry. Then I happened to see the Witney Houston/Bobby Brown synastry ..not much in their syanstry but a very active Saturn between them two, including a Saturn - Nodes square. We all know they couldn't separate from each other despite the alleged abuse and the ongoing disapproval of their union. Liz Tylor/ Richard Burton syanstry features a tight Saturn- Node conjunction witney Houston/ Bobby brown - a Saturn/Nodes square Angelina/Brad synastry has a Saturn- Nodes conjunction JayZ/Beyonce - a Saturn/Nodes square Elton John/David Furnish, his lover of 20 years - a Saturn/Node conjunction Johnny Cash/ June Carter Cash - a tight Saturn/Nodes square Vivien Leigh/ Laurence Olivier - a Saturn/Nodes conjunction Prince Charles/ Camila Parker have a double Saturn/Nodes square in their synastry. The rest of the synastry is not really that exciting.
Madonna / Sean Penn - Saturn - Node square
Jodi Arias / Travis - a violent crime of extreme passion - a Saturn - Node square Marie and Pierre Curie - considered soulmates - a Tight Saturn - Nodes square It's really mindblowing when you look at all those syanstries of passionate irresitsible love between two people and find the common denominator - a Saturn/ Nodes hard aspect.
Sometimes their union is a difficult one and must be kept in secret, sometimnes the whole world would be against it yet the two would remain together despite the odds. The aspect can apparently work on its own, because it draws two people together even with the plainest of synastry. The synastry could be boring, yet with a Saturn/Nodes hard aspect the passion runs high.
Do you know of any other celebrity synastry containing a Saturn/Nodes tie? My astro.com database can only contain as much birthdata... IP: Logged |

You mean except for mine with Jude Law? (my Saturn is conjunct his SN exactly).  But yes i noticed that as well, the glue with Saturn-Node is extreme. My parents share a Saturn-SN-conjunction, too. Not a celebrity couple though. IP: Logged |

Cer, not only the glue is extreme but the aspect actually makes two people addicted to each other on a very passionate level even when the rest of the synastry is boring. This is what surprised me the most. You and Jude, could it be...? Past life. Love. Sex...:d IP: Logged |

Totally messed up.
I mean like in really badly. Again and again. (or these were not past life dreams but my subconsciousness was trying to find a way to put that disaster into imagery).
The funny thing is that "coincidentally" when I am going to see him on stage later this year, my pr Moon is exactly conjunct my natal Saurn (on his natal SN apparently), with Tr Jupiter being exactly conjunct.
-well however I don`t really think that it is the Saturn-NN- that makes people passionate for each other, but it might intensify whatever else is there.
For example Diego`s Pluto was conjunct Frida`s Moon by 3 degrees.
his BML squared her Moon.
the ruler of his 8th house opposed her 5th house ruler (something I have found quite often in passionate relationships).

If I remember correctly, they also have a Mars-Saturn conjunction, right?.

Yep, I think you might be on to something. The only relationship I've had where we constantly end up back with each other and where I'm certain it's a lifelong friendship/relationship is where we have Saturn/Node contacts.My Saturn conjuncts his NN and his Saturn conjuncts my NN. IP: Logged |

how is your synastry looking like with Jude? Its interesting to me because he obviously has a lasting impact on you without any personal interaction. What houses in your natal are affected by his chart? Is Neptune active? Any other karmic markers aside from Sat/South Node conj?IP: Logged |

yes, i am still trying to understand the effect of this aspect more.
I actually started looking into it when i tried to find a clue for a decade long passion between two of my friends who kept longing for each other without seeing each other physically since the first and the only meeting they had 10 years ago. Their synastry is pretty leveled, trines and sextilles mostly, no conjunctions except for a very exciting Venus/Uranus conjunction both ways responsible for their initial sexual sparks, no sun/moon or pluto aspects, both Suns almost unaspected except loose aspects to Mercury, but... her stellium falls in his 8th house, his stellium in her 7th house ...and his Saturn squares her Nodes and Asc/Dsc axis...these two cant let go of each otherIP: Logged |

I have the square with fishy.. My Saturn square his nodes by 1 orb..
All the above description and passion describes us, but we have moon/Pluto and also his BML is on my stellium. He will be back in time, I already know...
He's not totally gone, he called me last week.. But he chicken out for what ever he was going to say..

Yes, iirc they had the conjunction. He wanted to get away from her but couldn't -- her Nn on his saturn. But...they had Pluto conjunct Nn too. Her Pluto, his Nn. Interesting since she murdered. (Pluto) him. IP: Logged |
