My Mom's South Node is conjunct my Sun (almost exact)My Dad's South Node in conjunct my Mercury and for fun... My Mom's North Node is conjunct my IC My Dad's North Node is conjunct my Mars Is this common with families? Have we been united before in previous lives? I can definitely say although my relationship with my Mom has been rocky, I do feel more of a spiritual connection with her. My relationship with my Dad has always been better, but with him it feels more like a teacher/student connection. IP: Logged |

Funnily enough my dad's SN is conjunct my Venus and sextile my Jupiter. It's also Opposite my Pluto and his NN is conjunct my Pluto. His mother passed away before I was born and I was named after him. I've also been involved with his care for the last 2 years and it has brought us closer together, like everything up until that point stabilised my role as his carer. I'm also very protective of him! Hah! My mom's SNODE is conjunct my SUN, too, very tightly. I've always thought that really something. She 'knew' when I was coming, though. She said I first appeared to her in dreams the week prior to her conception (in late January); that it largely guided her choosing when to do so. She knew I was 'ready to be born'. They didn't even need to try. I was born that October. IP: Logged |

^^ yup.. lol..... just checking with my parents now... Mom's Pluto-Uranus on my SN, and her Sun is Virgo-Leo cusp, whilst my SN is at 10 Virgo. My Uranus-Saturn is on my mom's SN... I had forgotten my daughter and my mom have nodal axis reverse conjunct (is there a better way to word that? Pretty sure there is!). my dad's moon, 10 degrees shy of my South Node. My Jupiter is loosely conjunct his North Node. IP: Logged |

my Dad`s IC conjuncts my NN widely (3°58) his POF conjuncts my NN widely (3°52)my Pluto conjuncts his SN (0°38) and Mars (0°15) my IC conjuncts his NN widely (4°47) The DW resutls in our composite having NN conjunct IC on 9 Aquarius (0°24)
my Mom`s JUNO conjuncts my NN widely (3°03) her POF conjuncts my SN widely (3°32) and is exact on my DESC lol
my CERES conjuncts her NN (1°05) and MC (0°58) my Jupiter conjuncts her NN (2°40) and MC (2°31)
She also mentioned that she knew exactly WHEN I was being conceived. I did not really inquire any further, cause, well, there is something as tmi
EDIT Of course that means that my nodal axis coincides with the synastric aspect between my parents of: Mom`s JUNO conjunct Dad`s POF (1°01) and his IC (0°55) - which seems to give priority to my NORTH Node, as this is where this conjunction takes place. IP: Logged |

Same with his Saturn close to my NN. IP: Logged |

No conjunctions with my Mom; only one with my Dad: my Uranus conjunct his NN by 1.Some exact quintiles with my Dad (my Venus quintile his NN; his Mars and Uranus quintile my NN), and several squares and trines with my Mom. I rarely have multiple conjunctions with anyone involving any point/planet; more often, I seem to tend to have very close (less than 1 degree) aspect types. To the extent that I think there may be "quintile type" or "trine type" relationships. In other words, I think that, at least for me, conjunctions are way overrated. IP: Logged |

I think that, too! However I noticed you mention that in many posts, that you rarely have conjunctions with anyone. Why is that? Does that bug you? Do you wish you had more conjunctions? Or is it just that astrologers tend to jump onto the conjunctions first to the point they might neglect other aspects?
Personally I don`t even think conjunctions are aspects, but more or less overlays, which can just be a starting point for the aspect-web to interprete. On the other hand, while I find them important, if there are none, they might not be needed in a certain synastry or even natal. And if there are tight symmetric aspect figures, there WILL actually be conjunctions, as one of the planets will be conjunct the midpoint of the other two planets, which form the aspect. Something which I find is being undervalued too much. just musing here. sorry.

I dont think conjunctions are over rated I think small aspects are extremely UNDER RATED! I find it odd that we dont pay attention to the harmonics and stop at the 6th harmonics (sextiles) while we skip over the 5th harmonics (quintiles)! I find that so strange and a disservice... IP: Logged |

Hypatia, I certainly do not underrate the quintiles though. I love their vibration. IP: Logged |

I know you love the harmonics, you introduced me to them but only recently I am getting into them...catching up a little with you .

Ahh, I've been vindicated by one of the best! I don't know that I wish I had more conjunctions; I just find it interesting that I seem to see them pretty rarely in my own charts. I do think conjunctions get the most buzz, with squares and oppositions not far behind. I just think there's more to life (and astrology) than that.

Wow...interesting you say that because my Mom tells a similar story. She and my Dad met and got married within 8 months of knowing each other and got pregnant with me almost right away. She too said she didn't have to try that hard - she just "looked at my Dad" and she was pregnant, haha. IP: Logged |
