I haven't seen your other posts, so apologies if I am not very helpful, but a few questions:

You say 'They' a lot -- is this person opposite sex/ romantic 'friend'? Male/female? (or male/male, female/female?)

As to WHY you are in each others' lives, no one can really SEE that from a chart - it's just potentials; energy. It would help if you clarified your intentions more- what is your main objective? I'm assuming you want to be MORE than friends, and their pulling away hurts you?

Also, in the chart, are you inside or outside of the synastry? It's hard to say who feels what or how things are effecting you without knowing what's touching your planets, etc.

I can say about the chart on the whole...it is intense, and in terms of the friendship, I see Mercury of one person right on the IC of the other - so, that would mean the Mercury person has a very strong way of communicating right to the IC person's core. IC person would maybe feel like the Mercury person gets them, perhaps more than the mercury feels it.

Mercury of the other person conjuncts Sun of the other - that's very good for any relationship; platonic or romantic.

Composite is a heavy 3House, which to me indicates a solid friendship, plain and simple. But moon in the 5H can of course make the emotions of one or both slightly more romantic.

In any case, if this person is pulling away and dragging you down, breaking free of that is your best bet for the moment so you can get back to where you want to be.

with out first approaching your question, this composite has many aspects I have found very destructive and unstable in relationships.
first off the Neptune/Saturn conjuncti9n opposed to mercury is very insincere and deceptive. it shows him tobe gquared and with holding his re feelings though he hides this through h a complex web of reasons.. with mercury involved , there is a high probability of straight out lies.

with Uranus at midheaven opposed ot Jupiter the relationship is unstable and trying to make something of this is a fool's quest. Uranus at midheaven sometimes can shows strong psychic connections but here with deceptive Neptune satrun these connection could only be disruptive.
with chiron opposed to vsatrun and conjunct to mercury, his influence is critical and demeaning, even if he complements you in the end he only gives back handed complements. this aspect is emotionally and mentally abusive no matter how sensitive he seems to be.
as to why he is in your life..... I would speculate that he is here to remind you of the abusive experiences in childhood you have learned to get past. he is a reminder not to dwell with abusive personalities.
the sun/Saturn midpoint is on the ascendant which shows he can online an inhibiting influence,and with the Jupiter/chiron midpoint square the ascendant and his cynical and critical attacks on your personality are integral in his attempt to manipulate you. \
that this is a lesson in self esteem is show by the sun/moon midpoint being conjunct to chiron and opposed to Saturn. i'd say his purpose is simply to bring you down.
