My whole life I've always been labeled as sweet and as a "girl next door" type of girl. My friends growing up were mostly guys who always talked about the hot girls in front of me. I of course was self conscious that I never was considered hot by them but rather more like a sister to them. I was always labeled "cute" instead of hot.

I have always been introverted despite my Leo rising but I've always been envious of extroverts. I wish I was one of those people who could walk into a room and everyone gravitates towards me. But I'm not.

Nearly everyone says how sweet I am. But I feel like this is one of the most annoying compliments. Old lady librarians are sweet. I'm afraid that in my career I'll only be labeled as sweet and passive rather than ambitious and take charge. *sign*

Can anyone provide me insight based on my chart that says I have hope to be anything other than the introverted and sweet girl? I feel as if I'm holding back some of my powerful side of my personality. But then again I don't know if there's any power there or if it's just something I wish I could be..

I would say your introversion is mainly a product of having intercepted 1st/7th houses. Plus they're angular houses and so important in the definition of personality and the relationship with others.

Obviously the 8th house Sun/Mercury/Moon makes you very reserved. But on the other hand it can be good that your personality (Sun) is in sync with your emotions (Moon)

I'm not sure you're nice if someone manages to get on your nerves, namely by stepping on your beliefs or mocking your ideas (9th).

The Pisces stellium can give you patience but that Mars in Aries is strong! Plus, with a fiery Mars and Venus you can get in touch with a different side of yourself.

Chiron square the Moon is another indication that maybe you try to be super nice so people don't hurt. There seems to be a fear of rejection by peers with Chiron in the 11th.

Ahhh, did you notice you have a yod? Chiron is in the appex! Pluto sextile Neptune are the base. Basically I've read somewhere than the house opposite the appex is where the solution lies. I can see why you're not so satisfied with not being viewed as that sexy/fun/extroverted woman since those are 5th house matters.

I would pay attention when anything opposes your Chiron by transit since it will activate the yod.

I feel similarly. the same. same. but don't or rather try not to worry about it. I think. you're as free as you want to be. and you'll be okay. it's all a matter of growth and . acceptation of self. ? . yeah. I'm sure you're beautiful. there's no way you aren't. can't be. won't be. you are. and it's all about like i (we/she/he/them/us) said: acception. receiving one's self. anyway. what's so bad about being an old librarian lol if i was to choose a profession out of the millions i want. librarian is one of them. anyway. you're alright. i know it and if i know it you know it. feel better xx

Thank you for your replies! I'm not sure what a yod is or what an intercepted house is... but I'm trying to research them. Your answers do register a lot with me. Is there anything that I can overcome in relation to my chart with these frustrations or do you think it will always be an issue for me?

About feeling too quiet...

The fact that you feel this way is a classic example of how western society overvalues traditionally masculine qualities and undervalues feminine ones... Like quietness, shyness, sensitivity, and caution. I remember reading that in some Asian cultures it's actually the opposite. Being overly loud and too aggressive makes a person seem silly and disruptive in that culture. Whereas more quiet cautious types are considered wise and mature.

Honestly, the western bias towards revering masculine traits can sometimes make more naturally reserved folks feel badly about themselves. But it's totally a matter of perspective. There is nothing wrong with being quiet and thoughtful. There is noting wrong with being outgoing and active either. Both personality types have their value. Had you been born in a different culture you attitude towards yourself would be totally different. I say embrace your natural tendencies because there are bound to be plenty of other people who will appreciate them. And I'm not talking about surface level popularity here. I'm talking about certain special individuals you'll meet in your life who in turn are able to recognize something special in you. Everybody is lovable in their own way. There is nothing inferior about being quiet!! Or loud for that matter!

About the 'sweetness' thing...

It can't be that much of a problem because I'm pretty sure you've had at least one boyfriend. Do you really want a bunch of random guys who are probably only after one thing fawning over you? In most guy's minds a sweet girl is seen as someone who is respectable, someone they are more likely to take seriously. That means that only guys who really really like you are likely to approach... As opposed to every random guy who wants to get some (to put it bluntly). Also, I'm pretty sure that all your boyfriends must have been attracted to you. Or why would they bother?

Everyone has different taste. The right person will appreciate the way you are. And some guys actually do prefer reserved sweet women. So OWN it. I'm this way myself and I actually kinda like it. Had enough attention from the opposite sex to know that my so-called 'quiet sweet girl' image is not a drawback by any means. Sometimes it's actually the reason why certain people pick you. And I just kind of instinctively know I'm worth it. A women with graceful self-assurance is always attractive whether shes reserved or outgoing. That self-assurance comes from recognizing the natural value in yourself regardless of what society says. And people can sense it. (This is not the same thing as arrogance, it's more like an inner peace which allows you not to put pressure on yourself. Knowing you don't need to be anything other then how you really are.)

Besides, you have some fire signs in your chart and that tells me that you have a fiery side to you personalty. Because of all the water in your chart this may take time to become apparent. You need to feel comfortable with the other person first. But it will eventually manifest because it's part of how you are. You're unique. You've got layers. Just chill and relax because your natural self is enough. Authenticity is way more attractive then any fake mask. And you are worth it too!

Could your time of birth thus rising sign be wrong? You could easily be Cancer rising instead of Leo.

Do you find yourself attracted to really weird or unusual people, people that most of your friends or family wouldn't picture you with? Like the odd couple or something? Then you would be Leo rising. If not, I would think there is a mistake with your time of birth and you might be cancer rising instead.

Not necessarily,

I'm a Sag rising and I'm fairly quiet. That's because both my Sun and Moon are in feminine signs, and I have a strongly aspected Saturn. When I'm around the right people I come out of my shell though. Polkadot Also has a feminine Sun and Moon.

Masculine signs characteristics do not always manifest completely as loudness. Having an adventurous, active mind does not always show on the outside. Fire signs have enthusiasm and passion for life, and tend to be idealistic. This will be true even if the person has other things in their chart which tone them down on the outside. Plus I'm sure that Polkadot comes out of her shell when she's comfortable with people. The Leo rising probably manifests more as a romantic idealistic outlook on the world rather then just plain 'loudness'. My Sag rising tends to manifest as curiosity, a positive attitude, and an endless quest to learn as much as possible. I'm only 'loud' when I'm comfortable.

You sound more like Cancer rising...
Cancer is the sign most associated with "girl next door". I always hear it said about Cancers.

Yes I understand your point. However, I have a hard time believing a Leo rising woman would be envious of other womens hotness and be concerned about being cute and good. Leo rising is the most dramatic rising sign of the entire zodiac, and any leo rising woman can just flip her mane (which she usually has in abundance whether real or fake) and ROAR and standout if she really wants to. The potential is there and all she has to do is use it. And I am not talking about being loud and masculine. i am talking about having a presence and a certain projection, which Leo rising can do naturally.

I know understated Leo rising women in real life, and the are understated by choice.

Polkadotstars could very well be Leo rising. but I am just throwing out there the possibility that the rising sign may also not be correct since her Leo rising degree is close to Cancer. Putting down the wrong time even by 30 minutes could make her Leo rising instead of cancer.

Sorry I haven't been able to respond sooner. I am traveling and haven't been on my phone as much.

But yes! This sounds a lot like me. I always thought my Leo rising would make me boisterous and the life of the party, which I've always wanted to be. But the way you are describing the Leo rising is the exact definition of what I am. I guess my Pisces sun moon and Mercury drown it out some at first glance....

My birth time is correct. I have verified on my birth certificate.

I do come out of my shell more around people I am comfortable with. I went to a concert last night and I was thinking about how much I would love to be in a band and perform on stage. I would just love that!! Being in the spotlight and making awesome music. That would be so fun. But I think once off stage I would be more reserved again.

I remember growing up and being so envious of my friends who were so outgoing and super popular. I was somehow popular as well because I was accepting of everyone and had friends in all the groups. I was still more of a laid back and reserved person so to speak.

But my moods have always been interchangeable. I would be more outgoing and loud around those people who were outgoing and loud too. And more quiet around quieter people. I remember one time I was riding with my friend from my soccer team to a party. And on the team I was pretty loud around her because she was loud. But in the car ride I was quiet because I was nervous about the party and I was sort of tired. She seemed legitimately concerned because I was being quiet and she had never seen that. Lol- I guess that's when the Leo rising got tired and the Pisces sun and moon came out to shine.

Hey!

I think it's interesting that you have the wish and urge to be hot, sexy and to be viewed as outgoing and vibrant.

In my opinion this comes from the very strong Mars/Venus Conjunction in Aries you have!

The Problem with it is, that Neptune squares it.
So it could feel dampened and lead to a kind of passive aggressiveness, because you feel like not being able to express your strong energy.

Another thing is Saturn squaring your luminaries, if I see that right.
Another factor that makes self-expression harder and causes introversion and fear of opening up.

I think you have a very intense energy and you can definetly bring it out if you combine your Neptunian traits which are more spiritual and affectively orientated with the "here and now" power of Aries.

First maybe it would be helpful to work through the Saturn square, so that your Sun and Moon can shine and you feel confident with your Pisces being.
