Are Quintiles considered in Composite? And what would they reveal? A hidden talent or potential of the relationship? For example Composite Saturn quintile Composite Sun - how would you interpret it? IP: Logged |

We're confused because todd said they're tough :PAt least I am. I would think they do give an ability to creatively resolve that which might otherwise be an issue in the relationship. They are 'grace'--a gift from the universe, in my eyes, blessing that particular aspect of your interactions and allowing the flow of creativity to enliven and provide options and ways out. In this case the commitment to the essence of the relationship needs a boost and gets solid support which doesn't feel stifling. IP: Logged |

Personally I like my quintiles. They are sparkly, giving that spring in my step, a little crazy, quirky, however I can see where they might get too "excentric".IP: Logged |

I love my quintiles. I have so many I don't see anything negative about them at all. We have them in synastry and composite too and they definitely denote an unusually creative energy. Makes it interesting. IP: Logged |

Thank you all for your evaluations! From my experience, I enjoy Quintles in my Natal Chart and found them to be meaningful. For me it's the most recognizable "small aspect" IP: Logged |

But yes I really really like quintiles too. Actually my favourite number was 95... sooo... they both have a spot in my Quintiles natally I feel more than noviles; actually I think i just have more of them? Hmm this paragraph shall be served with a grain of salt. Noviles in synastry have worked really well for me.. somehow I get more excited about them. Likely because of Navamsa stuff. Not that i even need to turn it into a Quintile vs Novile thing cuz they're both awesome--and totally different--except that they're both 'esoteric' aspects. Anyway that's my Q/N ramble. IP: Logged |

yungang, how do you calculate noviles on astro.com? I've never looked into them. Probably because I'm not an astrologer lol.IP: Logged |

I figured it out So if I'm comparing 9th to 9th and i find for example mars conjunct venus 2 degrees, does that mean it becomes a novile in our synastry?? IP: Logged |

Yes and a pretty close one. As 9 degree conjunction in the 9th harmonic comparision is really a 1 degree orb in natal. So it would be just a few minutes of orb really in your natal. Anyway the conjunction in 9th harmonic chart could also be due to a conjunction in the natals, so you have to check that before.

thanks Ceri the mars/venus is actually a 0* trine in our synastry. Just discovered we have a ridiculous amount of noviles. Like, my 9th mars/valentine/juno conjuncts his 9th moon/venus/eros/psyche all pretty close. Is there a way to do a 9th harmonic synastry wheel on astro? @ thegrinning_cat so sorry to derail!
