hey, Ceri, after a longtime

Yes, the words may be exaggerated but it depends on each one's exp and of those you came across. But I think Mars would be an aggressive energy at a soft spot. Good explanation by you btw

Hey and thanks

And yes I agree with you, "generally" speaking Mars might be a bit much for the IC, however after the general meaning we have to look a bit more closely.
As in my case my personal underbelly probably can`t do really much with too much softness.

Funny enough my youngest brother`s Mars is conjunct my IC. We can debate and discuss for hours and get quite temperamental in doing so, but it all is in good fun. It probably helps that his Moon/Jupiter/Uranus-conjunction trines his Mars and my IC.

Wow, sure, trines always help and big like this surely does. I guess your brother must be quite generous with moon n jupiter and with uranus emotional generous genius? I believe bright minded.

My natal 4th house mars is in his 4th house near his IC and NN. It's pretty good, it gives a let's-build-a-life-together kind of feel. So far we have been dedicating a large part of our energy into doing that.

Ime, mars energy can be like a pressure cooker, or fire under the butt for the house person. He commented that he felt it driving him out of his comfort zone, to rethink, to face his IC "issues"...etc... It can be uncomfortable, but he takes it well. For us it has brought some very positive changes.

12muddy, what aspects does your Mars make to his chart? And what aspect if any does it make to his 4th house ruler?

Niki,

yes, he is a sweetie. But he doesn`t want anyone to know or say it out loud. But he can`t hide his big mushy Sun in Pisces-heart (in 12th house, ASC in Pisces as well ).

And with Moon/Jupiter/Uranus in Sagittarius he is talking, talking, talking. lol
A philosopher, and emotional generous definitely. Very caring and nurturing too, in irrational, sometimes unpredictable and unsuual ways. lol

Muddy,

I think with Mars in such a sensitive spots it definitely helps if you have some shared goald to direct the energy onto, so it does not get (self)destructive.

My parents have the often dreaded Mars-Saturn-conjunction (as Double whammy), and it certainly helped them to have such a goal to work on together and actively build something lasting.

Capricious Capricorn: My mars trine his venus/mars, trine his ASC, oppose his Saturn.

His fourth house ruler is Venus, my mars trine it.

Ceridwen: Yes I agree with you about having goals to focus on. I deal with my natal mars in similar ways. His natal mars is quite “active” too. Without something to focus on, yes I also think that in the long run, such energy would probably turn destructive, like a beast running amok.

We have the mars-saturn contacts both way too (opposition and trine).
