When venus/pluto relationships end, do they go up in flames most of the time or are they sometimes subtle? Like, you forget about them gradually? And does the possibility of a resurrection of love exist?

my experience is that this type of relationship just slowly cools off until indifference leads to separation.what usually happens is that the initial love/sexual feelings which canbe intense, th erealizatin comes tha sex is not bringing greater emotional intimacy. pluto is extremely carnal and does not engender intimate emotional feelings after sex. so after awhile when it becomes clear that sex is the only attraction, the desire for sex slowly subsides and often the relationship turns celibate before the actual separation. these type of separations don't usually rekindle because the root problem is a lack of sensitivity to love.and this lack does not usually change. toddIP: Logged |

Thanks Todd for your reply. So was this venus pluto in synastry or composite? And do you think it works out differently? IP: Logged |

I was in an intense Venus/Pluto relationship. We went through manipulation, obsession, power plays, you know...the works. Once we solved these problems, which took many years, it turned out to be a WONDERFUL relationship that seemed more like a friendship or how a healthy relationship is supposed to be. You have to make it want to work in order to survive a Venus/Pluto relationship. We broke up because I felt like I needed to explore my options since I met him when I was real young. I'll always love him and offered just a friendship but he wanted nothing to do with me which is understandable.I still think about him from time to time. IP: Logged |

It took me a while to realize I wrote this original post. LOL! In synastry, it's a double whammy, venus conjuct pluto but one side of the aspect is pretty wide, but it still shows up in the composite as venus conj pluto. It's a sad ending. Nobody knew what hit 'em. IP: Logged |

Are the trines of venus/pluto generally a little easier to handle? I don't really 'get' venus/pluto energy much honestly. I get the Pluto controls. I also feel like Mars has a similar power-play. Venus mixed in with Pluto is kinda like...Hmm!IP: Logged |

I think any venus/pluto energy is intense, but with the trine in a composite it is easier to move with. It isn't overwhelming. Whereas, I think the conjunction is just in your face and it makes itself known. In my experience, it's like you wake up one day and you've just been hit by the venuspluto bus and I've read that pluto just works that way in order to draw you in deep and long enough to learn what he is trying to teach you. But it also depends on who you ask and what their own natal placements are. Some find the trines/sextiles rather too easy, maybe even boring and would prefer something more intense like the conjunction. And of course, some prefer it a little easier with the trines because the conjunction will be like a firepit. This is mostly referring to the composite aspects. IP: Logged |

If you both dont natally have venus/pluto, it could go up in flames because the intensity is to hard to handle. If you do know how to handle the energy through the lifetime of pluto/venus trials that come from having this aspect natally....a relationship will either grow deeply or slowly burn out. IP: Logged |

3 of my venus pluto relationships ended suddenly but with no fighting or hard feelings quote: Originally posted by cchampliss2: When venus/pluto relationships end, do they go up in flames most of the time or are they sometimes subtle? I am usually pluto. Let me tell you, they were frustrating and hard for me during the relationship but after we ended i just wish them the best. But my other relationships without this aspect the aftermaths were terrible lol especially mars square pluto. Basically, i dont think about them much anymore quote: Originally posted by cchampliss2: Were you Venus or Pluto lundan? I wonder if this makes a difference.

lundan, that's very interesting about the difference between mars and venus with pluto aspects. I'm usually the pluto in these types of relationships too and find that I deal with them a lot easier because of my natal aspects. So it's usually the other person that gets hit over the head with the pluto bat...Thanks for the feedback! IP: Logged |
