Very curious about this, as I see it frequently in my own relationship.Current SO and I have been through more trying, impossible situations than I've had with anyone else. However, even when I've been 'mad' at him for something that happened, I have never actually FELT deeply mad. It is more a logical 'this should not happen and I must put my foot down' kind of mad, like getting angry with your own child (not to make a creepy comparison). In cases where we actually have fought, the strongest feeling I have ever had has usually been that of confusion, or sadness over being in a fight at all - these have also never once occurred in person, because in person there is never negativity between us. And generally, if we do fight it diffuses very very fast. I can never stay angry with him. It isn't anything he does (it's not like we fight and he sends chocolates or calls me beautiful or something) - this feeling happens even if we are apart without touch for a day. I may be upset wth him to start, but it dissolves completely over the course of the hours. I find this interesting because I am not like this with others. What aspects generally cause a feeling like this consistently in relationship? He has expressed the same. We have a lot of Jupiter between us, and sun/venus conjunctions, mars trines, and pluto trine Venus... could be that? IP: Logged |

I get mad at my husband and sometimes I've thought it was over. But he has a strange way of winning me back. Sun-Venus is the most statistically occurring aspect in married couples' charts, according to this study: quote: Astrologer Paul Westran has a tested theory about relationships that unfold in this way. In a rigorous, eight year study involving 1,300 couples, he examined the correlations between planetary alignments and real events in people’s lives and came up with some surprising results.Curiously, Westran’s research failed to support the popular idea that certain sun signs are more compatible (with each other) than others. But he did find evidence that Venus, the planet astrologers have traditionally identified with the principle of attraction, appears to impact personal relationships in predictable ways. ... In the study, favorable aspects between the sun and Venus turned up in the compared synastry charts of couples a lot more frequently than expected by chance.
http://astrologynewsservice.com/articles/unique-study-links-venus-to-romanti c-choices-people-make/ I'm doing a hack job on the article just to convey the basic point that sun-Venus is common in long-term relationships. After I read that I started to attribute my own relationship's longevity to sun-Venus: my husband's sun trine my Venus (less than 1 orb), my sun trine his Venus by sign (9 orb.) ETA: We also have my Venus conjunct his Saturn for longevity. But I still would have divorced him a few times, over some crucial differences, except he does things that I find irresistible. The beauty dwarfs the ugliness. And I think that's his sun appealing so strongly to my Venus. Even before I met him I had formulated his "type" in my mind... But I would probably not choose this again. It's actually hard to be with someone you find insanely attractive, when the marriage is fraught with other problems. Things get swept under the rug, we kiss and make up instead of resolving things at the core. Please don't quote. IP: Logged |

That's funny. One of the other closest aspects which Jack and I have is his SUN sextile my VENUS, 0°03. We've had one major fight during a karmic activation pattern. Even then, there's never a threat of losing each other. We've outlined a very clear set of deal-breakers, and know to never even hint at pushing the red button -- unless we MEAN it. And we never do, so we never would. Otherwise, it just contributes to a constantly pleasant air between you. Sometimes pleasant isn't what you want. But it's generally appreciated. IP: Logged |

No, I definitely get this. You're not just suddenly going to leave your child because they're not holding up their end. It's not even a question. It just shows your dedication to the relationship. Leaving isn't even an option. It doesn't even register. You just work things out. I get that. IP: Logged |

No surprises here. Strong Jupiter or Venus synastry can very easily wash away all kinds of anger and resentment. Venus fills you with warm gooey affection for the other person and you melt, it makes you want to please them. Jupiter makes you find the other person cute and amusing, like adorable. They make you laugh and you can't help but feel goodwill towards them. These are so good in a marriage, because nobody is perfect and everybody screws up eventually. IP: Logged |

Venus Moon Aspects have a very similar effect! Especially the "can't be mad at my own child " feeling It's the peaceful familiarity....and cuddling One question about progressions I came about in this interesting article: What does it mean, if the progressed Venus of my partner conjunct my natal Sun?
