My guess as an amateur: There would be a tendency towards interlocking as Venus and Saturn do, but without other factors it won't necessarily manifest as a relationship. There could just be magnetism, feelings of strong trust without a clear reason for them, or an out-of-place sense of wanting to control the other person. If the couple is already together I think it could become more serious. However, if neither person has Venus-Saturn in their natal chart, I suppose it could put a damper on things...it could be felt like a "killjoy" vibe in the air. But even then, the people will probably feel a certain magnetism towards each other. quote: Originally posted by thegrinning_cat: What is more important, the aspects within the Progressed Composite itself - or the aspects in relation to both natals?
I think one thing is not more important than the other, what's important is looking at all the charts, seeing the patterns, comparing them to the current situation...and see how the charts are highlighting what is there. For instance if you think there is love but you aren't sure, and Venus-Pisces-Neptune-12H emerges as a theme, you have an explanation for the confusion. If there is a simmering, mysterious vibe and Pluto-8H-Scorpio aspects in chart after chart...well...if the other person's charts are showing engagement with those Plutonian patterns, I would expect that they are aware of & possibly feeling this underground intensity as well. Hope that makes sense. IP: Logged |

But a pVENUS conjunct pSATURN in a composite is going to be there from the beginning. Yes?So it becoming exact MIGHT mean something. But there are SO many other things that tend to indicate a relationship becoming official. An aspect -- even wide -- from the beginning, I don't think would do it. Now if the pMOON is involved, or pDSC? That's a possibility. These move very quickly. pVENUS doesn't, and pSATURN really doesn't. IP: Logged |

Unless it's the pMOON, or progressed angles involving other points in the composite, I don't really consider the progressed composite itself to be extremely predictive. The aspects in relation to natals, if, again, they're involving the progressed MOON, maybe the SUN, and definitely the angles -- absolutely useful, yes. IP: Logged |

Thank you both!Progressed Moon in conjuncting Composite South Node exactly.....how would you interpret that? And yet another question about the relating of progressed charts - normally you check your own natal and compare it with the progressed composite. Would it be significant, if a progressed planet of my partner is conjuncting my natal planet? (It's his pVenus to my Sun) Do you compare your progressed chart to the natal chart of the other (and the other way round)? IP: Logged |

Grinning_cat, his pVenus aspecting your natal Sun is extremely positive, a sign of a very significant relationship at play. mir and I are riffing on this a little bitin my thread "A beautiful/difficult connection" right now, and if you look into Paul Westran's work you'll find that the significance of pVenus or nVenus to pSun or natalSun is pronounced statistically in significant romances.IP: Logged |
