When considering orbs in Synastry, would you expect aspects with tighter orbs to be more influential than others? Would the tighter orbs intensify certain aspects?

For instance, this person and I have Pluto conjunct Moon at 0 degrees and Venus conjunct Mars at 2 degrees. Could these aspects in coordination with the tightness of the orbs outweigh less favorable aspects in our Synastry? Despite our no contact for several months, could the orbs be creating an intensity that is difficult to let go of?

These aspects at tight orb could be creating an intensity which is difficult to let go of but no, they do not outweigh other difficult aspects... it's tricky to synthesize but absolutely necessary to look at everything as a cohesive whole rather than several distinct parts... we can see patterns of relating delineated by individual aspects but they still make up the tapestry of the entire relationship... if we have a very volatile combination of personal planets and outers and a few nice tight trines and conjunctions they will all be at play at once... makes it tricky to sort things out...

Venus/Mars and Pluto/Moon at close orb are likely to bring about obsessive behaviour and tendencies but do not outweigh, say Saturn square Mars/Mercury at 3 degrees, by any means.

I definitely didn't mean to imply they would negate other aspects. Maybe outweigh wasn't the best word. I meant more that they were felt more strongly. Any Saturn squares in our Synastry, for example, are at 8 degrees.
