The background story: It started out as a work relationship. We got along well. I considered us friends, I enjoyed the friendship very much. He implied that he had feelings for me. I didn't feel the same. I didn't mention it again and kept things strictly business, thinking that he would sort his feelings out. But it affected his work performance, and a string of problems followed. I assured him that if he no longer could continue our agreement then I'd understand and wouldn't hold him responsible, and would do what I can to protect his work rep.

He wanted to continue our agreement, said he could do it. But after that, I haven't seen any improvement in his temperament and work. He has a fair bit of air, I thought he'd be more detached.

I like him and the loss of this friendship would affect me. But I feel ticked off, that he isn't doing a good job keeping it under control - I suppose this is my saturn square his asc talking.

I'm interested to hear your thoughts/interpretations of the synastry and/or composite. Looking at my pluto square his moon/venus, I'm not feeling hopeful about the longevity of this friendship.

Sounds annoying :-/

Just noticed:

* Composite Mars is on your 3H moon in Aries. So, as you speak, there is a prompting of that composite Mars energy (?)

* Composite Jupiter in the 8H squaring 11H Venus...8H kinda feelings inflated, working against friendship (11H Venus).

* Mars square Mars (wide) and Mars opposing Saturn...the latter one is probably responsible for a lot of this...his Saturn squelches your Mars...does NOT elicit that kind of feelings at all.

Yeah that DC conjunct IC is very intense, its going to be hard for him to just be friends, no wonder he has feelings. In addition your venus conjunct his MC and Jupiter and his DC ruler is Venus which conjuncts his moon and squares your pluto, again intense so hard for him to not be affected by this and react in a detached manner when your DC is on his IC, his most vulnerable part, he feels you really see him and get him and his feelings are not superficial, they are real.

Your mars square each other and his mars squares your pluto so I imagine there is some sexual tension unless he is not your type physically.

Your southnode on his IC is super nice too...

Faith... yeah my mars on his NN. It could be the reason why I feel that I’m probably more invested in his “goals” than I previously thought. It’s one of the main reasons why his behaviour irks me. He spoke of great passion for what he does. I have respect for that. While I don’t know what goes on in his mind/heart (I know it's hard for him, which is why I've been patient), I can't help but shake my head at how he lets this whole thing affect his “passion” in such a negative way. After all, the effort spent to get to where he is now wasn’t small.

DopGang & Hypatia, the angles. Yeah I agree, it's certainly powerful ime. I have that in most of my best and worst inter-personal relationships. This adds to the feeling that the outcome of this will be heavy.

So far I’ve been calm on the surface, but I’m stewing from all the issues from him lagging behind and being disagreeable. I don’t feel sexually or romantically attracted to him ,so I suppose the mars squares and opposition is playing out this way.

SN on his IC, certainly explains why I felt at ease with him and we got close fast, although at first I hoped for an amicable work relationship at most. It’s not every day that I find someone who’s a fairly decent person, has similar interests with me, is easy to talk to and is interesting to listen to - his uranus/mercury and my moon/jupiter form a fire grand trine. I felt inspired by him.

I enjoyed his company. And we worked well together, our results were good. He's good at what he does. But after all of this, I'm not very hopeful about the possibility of a healthy friendship. My friendship is unrequited, the irony.

I love angular rulership overlays and aspects but in ALL my romantic relationships there have always also been present venus-mars aspects, ALWAYS.
