I understand it as a balance, right? Finding the balance of what you had in a past life and using that experience to strive towards your NN placement in this lifetime.

So, if I follow this direction with my own NN placement, my calling is to understand my past life strength as someone who may have been blessed with tangible goods and community status (Taurus and Leo) to now finding a balance with using shared resources and giving back to my community.

Of course I am simplifying things here, but in a nutshell, that's supposed to be my focus. From what I have studied, that is the popular direction I have seen with the nodes. But I think there is more...I'm just not sure what, yet.

With NN Scorpio in the 1st, popular interpretation is that you should focus on your own behaviors and not rely on outside influenced to redirect your purpose. With Scorpio, you may throw away your identity in the life many times only to rebuild on a different basis. Again, very simplified.

I'm curious if anyone else on LL can offer their interpretations that may not be mainstream. The NN is a mystery to me!

Then...to top it all off, you have a relationship with someone and your NN placement is different in the composite. Or with your children, etc. I think it is much deeper than the individual. I think we are called to serve a higher purpose within our own lives, but to also be flexible when it comes to helping those close to us to achieve their NN goals in life, and they for us.

I guess I don't have accept a simple answer to this. It's kinda like being 18 and off to college, and not knowing what the hell you want to major in, let alone do when you grow up! LOL. It takes time, trial and error and patience I suppose.

Hello there! NN Sagittarius in the fifth house here.

The mission usually associated with NN in Scorpio is that of unity. You're shifting from a Taurean perspective to a Scorpio one, placing value on the spiritual rather than material. I'm sure you've read this before, but what I have also read that NN Scorpio deals with financial matters, so it's not just about romantic relationships, but focusing on spiritual growth through any partnership is key. I think it's about learning to let down your barriers, attach to relationships not to things.

It tends to mean as well that a person in their past life had a great deal of material wealth and became very independent.
