Have been on a bit of a magi kick lately and they are definitely not in favour of hard Jupiter/Saturn interaspects. I think they might even have a sensational name for them

Anyway I am kind of beginning to see why. If my Jupiter is quincunx somebody's Saturn, my sense of wanting to expand my boundaries and express optimism and excitement, as well as my philosophical view of the world, is misunderstood, criticized, reacted to fearfully or met with restriction when I was ready to expand. And they're not aware they're doing it in the case of the quincunx.

My Jupiter is in fact quincunx somebody's Saturn and this is kind of a theme, although that's only a small piece of the picture which is also paradoxically overall really encouraging expansion.

However I see how this one thing could be a deal breaker. I need to be able to expand! They need to be able to set boundaries! How do we reconcile these things? If we can't it's going to become a rather big issue in any relationship.

I'm interested in hearing your thoughts about hard Jupiter/Saturn stuff. I know when they join forces in a positive way they can be a force to be reckoned with and that the midpoint is also considered important by Magi (and others), for good and ill. His Jup/Sat = my Sun..

We have the square in composite and I like to think it's no biggie but it is. Rob Hand puts it aptly when he says 'most relationships experience this [the alternating feeling that things are great and then that we can never make it work], but in your case it is worse than others.' I'm paraphrasing.

Thoughts? Experiences?

NUCLEAR CLASH!!!

I noticed the transits, I think I remember having written a mail to Faith about Magi astrology, wanting to prove (to her and myself) that they are so wrong about it and when I was gathering my data I had to realize that whenever Tr Saturn was making a harsh aspect to my n Jupiter I was making dumb decisions, and sometimes experiencing really chaos. (though having said that my Jupiter is squaring my Neptune and NN tightly, so of course Tr Saturn would have aspected that as well.)

I must say though that the last hit of Tr Saturn to my n NN and Neptune and squaring Jupiter was NOT matching this at all.
Just like the last time Tr Saturn was squaring my Moon was unlike all the other hearbreaking Saturn - Moon transits I have experienced before, but in fact was a "manifestation in reality" kind of thing coming with very very good experiences.

Maybe I am able to learn after all

BTW Jupiter-Saturn-clashes in synastry or composite certainly does not have to be a dealbreaker, but it depends on the other aspects and what each person needs.

Jupiter-Saturn-aspects actually occur pretty frequently in long term marriages and relationships (and that includes the square and opposition; the quinkunx I tend to view even as more complicated than the other two)

Yeah I try to discredit Magi and then see exactly what it says playing out.

Like we fell in love during my Cinderella freaking time this November/December when transiting Neptune was totally trine my Chiron. And it's totally separating right now but will be back when it goes retrograde (yay! Lol)

Yeah i hear you about the quincunx being likely more.. thing. Sigh. And i don't doubt interaspects are frequent but i bet a lot of stress in those relationships can be traced to this tension! As well as a lot of energy going towards resolution and compromise i guess. Makes sense.

It's really cool to hear your observations about the transits and the way they're playing out more benevolently for you these days!

There is hope!

I remember, and researched and was amazed to see that last time transiting Saturn opposed my Jupiter exact, it was indeed a nuclear clash!

"Cinderella freaking time"

Tr Neptune hasn't been trine my Chiron since I was like...ten? Ah the good old days. Staring at boys in the mall and stuff.

ETA: Oh! forgot the practical answer. Husband's Jupiter is sextile my Saturn, his Saturn trine my Jupiter if you count 9° orbs, which you probably don't ....but maybe the lack of hard "clashing" here is a factor in our longevity.

Have this with my very best friend for yearsss. His Saturn opp. my Jupiter.

He lets me express my excitement and/about views on the world more then anyone could ever allow. But then, we have the exact same philosophical views on the world and society. It just fits. We're both non-believers but TMS (The Magi Society) is biased as hell about those or atheism in general. So, if this aspect would create rebellious couples as a thorn in the side of TMS, we're *IN* and we love it. They assert that Saturn is representative of Atheism.

I don't think the Jup-Sat hard aspects are that bad, but where transits are concerned I tend to keep my guard up if Chiron is targeted or is targeting something in my chart. Fortunately it's Cinderella time for me now.

Mir, my bf and I are also non believers. We have them too.

Funny enough Mr Sag`s first meeting chart has a Neptune-Chiron-conjunction (and according to the Magi-report synastrically we have 6 of these linkages, they call Neptune-Chiron "lifetime linkage". lol )

Well for once I do not have a heartbreak transit (I am having the big culmination transit though as it seems, Tr Uranus conjunct Chiron).

Anyway I was having the last Nuclear transit (Tr Saturn square n Jupiter) in december last year, same time as HE had a Heartbreak transit (Tr SAturn quinkunx n Chiron - I remember that quinkunx from my own past ).

Currently I am having an extended Cinderella transit as Tr Jupiter is pretty much stationary while being quinkunx my n Chiron.
and another one as Tr Neptune is cp my n Chiron as well. Well was last week at least.

Interestingly enough I just noticed that Tr Sun was part of it as well.

Tr Sun 8.23 S
Tr Moon 9.01 S
Tr Neptune 8.45 S

n Chiron 8.33 N
n Jupiter 8.28 S

Tr Chiron is also still conjunct my n Juno, so according to the Magi I must radiate a very alluring vibe at the moment.
(I guess Tr Juno trine n Juno would even enhance that in their view. lol)

Darn double posts.

Vajra, I'm so glad that the universe brought you and the Jupiterian chiropractor together and that you were released from a debilitating condition! How very beautiful, and to hear how the astrology of it all transpired is extremely interesting. Thank you!

And yes I've noticed the Jupiter Saturn conjunction can be really beneficial too. It seems that it turns out especially well rounded and grounded individuals... well one of my best friends has this conjunction on her Moon and she grew up with her mother living with schizophrenia and often is worried she herself will go over the edge as she's incredibly intuitive and able to travel and 'trip' at a hair trigger... yet she is sooo self aware and grounded, looks after 2 kids, keeps the house running, and finds time to expand safely into those zones of which she is afraid of getting lost... I think her Saturn/Jupiter helps with this a great deal.

So nice to hear your partner and daughter get along My daughter and my person are developing a stronger bond as well. Their nodes are reversed exactly and his Saturn is trine her Venus but a Jupiter-Saturn double whammy sounds dreamy and perfect for such a relationship

It's worth noting that the last time t.Saturn opposed my natal Jupiter I had the best month of my life... at home with my daughter, practising qi gong and healing on many levels. Breathing consciously all day and telling myself the last thing in the world I should do is rush anywhere at all. It was a blissful month. My phone had fallen in the bath and so I was internet and technology free and I gotta say the groundedness and liberation which came of that release (Saturn) was incredibly peaceful and rewarding. A lot of it had to do with letting go of that one addiction and the rest of it had to do with expanding my consciousness and spiritual practise (Jupiter). I did a lot of healing that month and made a firmer foundation for the rest of my life.

When T. Saturn was square my Chiron I was pregnant and experiencing the gradual complete abandonment by my daughter's father. I had traveled to the east coast and was living on the streets in Halifax, and then a beautiful artist friend took me in and we had a nice time until he came across the country to find me. We had a very tumultuous time traveling back on freight trains, although the trip to my hometown was actually not that fraught there were really hard moments... he was really hard on the wolf-dog of whom we had mutual custody at the time and it became apparent he really couldn't raise a kid. It wasn't the worst month of that year but there were rough patches for sure, and a process of heartbreak which took many years to recover from.

I know two couples who have been together and married for 10+ yrs who have Jupiter Sq. Saturn in their composite :/ I don't think it's all that bad as it sounds? Of course, it all depends on the couples themselves..

6!! Not surprised somehow

In helio we have a Neptune Venus trine and I think a Jupiter Venus conjunction.. but 6!

Edit: oo oo and what's fun if we're doing Magi is his progressed Venus applying conjunct my natal Chiron atm and my progressed Jupiter very much conjunct his progressed Chiron and applying towards his natal Chiron

Although at this point maybe you would experience it add flying colours, having had so much practise?

I'm excited for you, Ceridwen! It sounds like all systems are go somehow and you're in a unique and profound period of maturity and readiness for the very high quality and profound kinds of relationships and experiences which you so deserve. I have this mantra "Only accepting love," which comes to mind

Oh I just realized November/ December was even worse for him than a simple Heartbreak transit.
He was actually having a dragonized Heartbreak-transit which was at the same time a dragonized Nuclear clash.

That happened because natally he has Mars-Jupiter-conjunction trine Chiron at very close orb, and the last months Tr Saturn was forming a mystical triangle with that, with Tr Saturn quinkunx his n Chiron and at the same time squaring his n Mars-Jupiter.

I guess that explains why he didn`t look as happy as I would have expected him to be at that timeframe. (I might be naive but if someone gets married and becomes a father again I just expect them to radiate more, I don`t know, happiness I guess. And not having that expression as if his life has just been flushed down the toilet.)

good thing transits donīt last forever, at least for now the heartbreak-nuclear-clash transit has faded for him (though it will be back due to Saturn going retrograde)

Wholeheartedly agree with that.

I seem to be one of those who are drawn to people with whom I share the so called nuclear clash. Maybe it`s because my natal chart has strong Jupiter AND saturn flavour simultaneously?
Heck they are even the heads of their own dispositor trees in my chart! (my chart is a little shizo in this regard ; ).
But ultimately Saturn is in Cancer, in Jupiter`s exaltation so when push comes to shove he has to listen to Jupiter`s suggestion (who is in Pisces in domicile).

My best friend`s Saturn is quinkunx my Jupiter, and it did show over the cuorse of the last 25 years or so, but we also have been friends for like forever (I think starting in 1991 or something like that - so yes, 25 years, my Gosh! lol).

Maybe it is easier in friendships though. I don`t know.

My parents as well as my best friend and her husband have the trine (and sextile), so not a good example here.

Actually I checked and it seems, I am having 2 / 3 Cinderella transits at the moment. (well the one with Sun was just on the day of last concert I suppose)

Tr Jupiter (r) quinkunx n Chiron (r) 0°37 s
(Tr Sun cp Chiron 0°10 plus Tr MOon cp Chiron as well)
Tr Neptune cp n Chiron 0°12

Anyway naturally I have also some transits that totally stink:

Tr Saturn quinkunx n Saturn 1°09 a
(no clue what the Magi make of that)

Tr Saturn square n Juno (1°10 a)
(so I am alluring and at my ugliest at the same time? )

Tr Uranus square n Saturn 1°13 s
(well long lasting, fading now, it was not THAT bad)

Tr Neptune square n Neptune0°34 a
(can`t wait for Tr Neptune to finally stop squaring my Sag-planets. He has been doing so, starting with the square to n Mars - which was the worst actually- then n ASC and now Neptune-NN itself.)

Tr Pluto opposite n Saturn 0°06a
(which is exact NOW)
