Topic: Sun square Venus: Venus person thinks Sun person is ugly ?????????????????????!!!!!!

I'm not sure if it's ok how I express this "Venus person, Sun person" but I think you can understand what I mean.
I read somewhere that Sun square Venus means the "Sun person" finds more beautiful to the "Venus person" but "Venus person" doesn't think the same about the "Sun person". What do you think about this? I have Venus square Ascendant so if I have Sun square Venus with someone I also have Sun conjunct Ascendant or Sun opposite Ascendant and that maybe changes things a little. But I don't know, I think Sun square Venus can mean attraction? Like "you are not the type of person I like but I feel attraction and somehow I think you are interesting even if we have different tastes". I hope someone can understand me, lol. IP: Logged |

No, not at all!  I have this with someone.. And I was really attracted to him.
What can happen is, the Sun person may not be the Venus person's 'type', but they find them attractive nonetheless. Something akin to what Vajra said. It may be relevant to add to my example that his Venus trines my Sun.. But even without that, I would've found him attractive. I think any Sun-Venus aspect will do that. Just that they may or may not match what you thought was your physical ideal. IP: Logged |

If we're talking strictly from a outside appearance point of view - someone's "vibe" and "look" - I would say this has more to do with the ASC than the Sun.I think the Sun has more to do with someone's essence - their core personality. Then I would say perhaps, at a core level, if someone's Venus is square your Sun you may not be their "type" exactly but they still like who you are. If it's the ASC that is squared, then you might not be their type from a physical standpoint. For instance, my SO's Venus is conjunct my Gemini Sun but square my Virgo ASC. I know for a fact my style of dress and how I present myself is not his usual "type" though he still thinks I am beautiful - inside (Sun) and out (ASC). On the other hand, my Venus is trine his ASC and I think he's one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen and have 0 qualms about him physically. I could be wrong but, it seems this way to me lol IP: Logged |

I dont think sun-venus is about look or ugly, but about energy. venus is about what you like, if it is your sun aspecting venus, then venus may be at odd with the way you are, yous self, but he has a reaction and it is attracted although not necesarily like what your are. attraction to your physicality is more in mars (how you move for instance) and ascendant (appeareance and mannerisms)... I shared this aspect with my ex (my venus-mars-sun square his sun)and he found me gorgeous (which I am, of course LOL)and I found him super handsome.. my venus trine his AC though.. IP: Logged |

Heh, my venus square my s.o's sun. And I think he's one of the most gorgeous creatures in my universe. But well, my venus conjunct his ascendant lol. For me, it's like what other members mentioned. I didn't think I'd find his "type" attractive. He's almost the complete opposite of what I thought I liked, both in physical appearance and vibe. IP: Logged |

Yes my venus squares my ex sun and he was very much my type physically, now his AC also conjuncts widely but in orb my Sun.Mr. Aqua's venus squares exact my sun and he was very attracted to me, however his venus also conjuncts by sign my AC which trines and sextiles exact his nodes. My husband's AC squares my Venus by 1d and I find him attractive yes and charming, funny and cute but he is not my ideal physically like with my ex and mr.aqua which with both the physical attraction I felt for them was instant.
