Hi everyone! What does an Amor Psyche conjunction mean between a couple? In this case, it goes both ways. IP: Logged |

Hey, Velvet! If it's under 3º, and is a double-whammy, then we could say that it's definitely packing a punch. Soulmate astrology is seeing a kind of overhaul in that we started out with EROS/PSYCHE being the 'one true pairing', but have branched out to include the other representations of Cupid in conjunction ( ... tin inpunded) with PSYCHE. That being said, there's EROS, VALENTINE, AMOR, and CUPIDO. While many 'roid astrologers are still 'purists' and like to limit it to EROS, many are exploring the possibilities -- myself included. As such, I'm enjoying the thought that, these are instead multiple facets and 'faces' of Cupid, if you will. As EROS, he exhibits a kind of soulful eroticism; as VALENTINE, a 'til-death-do-us-part' powerful devotion; as AMOR, an unconditional platonic love; and as CUPIDO, the thralls of romantic passion that can be synonymous with 'falling in love'. (There we would experience less true devotion as obsessive drive to enjoy the euphoria of coupling. Infatuation, versus attachment.) So, I'd say your AMOR/PSYCHE double-conjunction could lend itself to a powerful, timeless union which boasts the unconditional love of the soul. Where Cupido is in his form that may be in separation from Psyche, but remains powerfully devoted to her from behind the scenes, unconditionally linked with her soul. Possibly. We've still got a ways to go in terms of ferreting out the mysteries of Cupid's many asteroid forms. IP: Logged |

Hi Auby, a fascinating reply, thank you. Yes, it's a double whammy under 3 degrees. His Cupido also conjuncts my Chiron and trines my Sun/Mars, his Eros conjuncts my Sun/Mars. There's lots of aspects in the chart. I was drawn to this one because of it's double whammy and closeness of aspect. My Valentine conjuncts his Juno and Jupiter.IP: Logged |

I word for word agree with what Auby wrote. Amor-Psyche is very very soulful, but not necessarily erotic. IP: Logged |

Ah Ceri, the erotic is taken care of by Venus/Mars/Juno/Chiron/Uranus/Cupido and Eros aspects (I hope!) IP: Logged |

My experience of Amor/Psyche is that it makes someone very hard to forget, this must come from the soul because if it was the body, it wouldn't last.IP: Logged |
