I agree so far with your take on it, but donīt think it can really be reduced to "this sign will like squares more"; generally speaking Aries energy would probably not mind the challenge, and Capricorn energy could actually seek it out, not because they like it, but because they seem to think that "relationships are hard work" (and if it falls into their lap too smoothly, it can`t be right ).
Scorpio might be drawn to the intensity (depending on the planets in square).

Signs that would really not like squares I think are Taurus and CAncer, in particular. Leo might view them as "offensive to their majesty", Libra could have a hard time, too, because of their striving for harmony and agreement, but as an airsign could rationalize the differences.

But that really is just generally speaking in terms of archetypes and no individual chart really IS an archetype or pure expression of one of these signs. So it can`t really be answered.
