We aren't sure ... not to speak for others! It just seems to be something that is still being explored. I have said my piece on this in other threads, noting that it can mean, as in natal charts, an intensification of that planet's energy and the sway it holds. With no entry points, it tries to get its way everywhere. With Pluto, I can see this being a potentially very powerful and unsettling relationship... if we apply regular rules of peregrination. I am curious to hear about it. Does the couple share any resources in common? Are they tycoons? Are they in some way powerful people, or do they play mind games with one another? Also, very importantly--what midpoints fall on that Pluto and whose natal chart does it aspect and how? That will give a lot of clues in terms of the flavour of this Pluto, which is a very variable planet with many potential manifestations...
I'm going to ramble a bit about peregrination in relationship astrology now:
My Moon is unaspected by the composite between my daughter and my partner. My role in that triad is obviously a very lunar one anyway, being the mother figure... so that's emphasized. I also have incredibly emotional reactions to their interchanges and often they are totally flabbergasted and unaware of how they're affecting me. Anyway, just one little slightly irrelevant example.
Another slightly more relevant example i can think of is the composite of a couple I know where Venus is unaspected. It's not unaspected in their Davison though. Anyway it is a romantic partnership and Venus obviously plays its role somehow there but I don't know them well enough to comment extensively...
I'm starting to wonder about peregrination in natal charts, and whether anything can ever truly be called unaspected. It always IS aspected, either in a midpoint configuration somewhere, or by other than Ptolemaic aspects...
For instance, my Venus is peregrine by normal standards but it is Novile my Moon/Neptune, and semisquare my Juno, and that one alone feels pretty massive to me...
