I was reading Lotis White's insightful historic thread; Synastry of Attraction: why it does or doesn't work...(thread now closed)

Does anyone have any views as to the following scenario:

The male partner has an 8th in Saggitarius with a stellium of Sun, Neptune and Mercury conjunction all cited there.

The female partner does not put any planets into his 8th house by way of overlay. Neither does she aspect his 8th house ruler being Jupiter in Scorpio.

The female does however strongly aspect his planets sitting in his 8th, by way of tight oppositions from her Moon and her own Jupiter (in Gemini), a square from her Sun (Pisces) and a tight trine from her Saturn, and exact Inconjunct from her Mars. Would this mean his 8th house is still likely to be switched on?

I should probably add that his 5th house is in Leo therefore the ruler of 5th being his Sun in the 8th (which she is aspecting via the oppositions etc. mentioned above) Her 5th is also Saggitarius, the ruler being her Jupiter which is aspecting his Sun by the aforementioned opposition.

So presumably both their 5th houses are switched on but the ruler of his 8th being Jupiter is obviously unaspected and it still remains that she doesn't put any of her planets in his 8th.

She only has Neptune in Sagg so not too much in way of symbolism match to his Sagg 8th house, although she does have her sun (also her asc ruler) in her own 9th house which is Saggs natural house i think which may be a symbolism match of sorts.

(His Desc ruler is Scorp and again she puts no planets in his 7th but in this instance her personal planets do at least aspect his 7th ruler being Pluto)

Furthermore, could the stellium he has in his 8th mean that one of those planets are in fact more, or as important button pushers for his 8th house than the ruler itself being Jupiter?

Hope you can follow this!

Thanks
Helen

Yes, and I think strongly so!

Haha maybe the question I should be asking is whether his 8th house will be lit up in a 'pleasant' way or not!

Yes, if there are no planets in the 8th, and no aspect to the 8th house ruler, then aspects to planets natally in the partner's 8th house will activate the energy of the 8th house.

It gives those planets something to 'do', so to speak.

There's also a symbolism match here. He has Neptune and Mercury in the 8th house, and she has Sun in Pisces and a Gemini Moon. Her personal characteristics would resonate with his 8th house energy, which is likely to attract his attention.

Also with her Jupiter aspecting his 8th house planets she is giving him the energy of his 8th house cusp sign, Sag. So he is likely to readily recognize and respond to that energy.

If his Dsc is Scorpio, you'd want to pay attention to what both his Pluto and Mars are doing to her chart.

Thanks Lotis

This is actually a synastry with a friend/lover I've know for couple years who doesn't want to commit. Maybe he is just not interested in anything more than friends which he has said and I respect that, but based on the synastry I can't help wondering why.

Re; your comment above, well his Desc ruler Pluto in Libra (in his 6th house) is trine my moon (3 degrees) and Jupiter (1). Inconjunct my Sun (1) and Square my Cancer Mars (3)

And his Mars in Virgo is Opposite my Pisces Sun (4) and square my Jupiter (2) and Moon (6).

Also his Libra Saturn is in the mix squaring my Cancer Mars (3)

His North Node is also conjunct my Cancer Mars (1) squaring his own Saturn & Pluto.

I've only recently realised he's quite scorpionic which is probably the busy 8th house and Scorp Desc. I'm not really Scorpionic but have Pluto conjunct IC but no other really aspects with pluto except wide opposition to venus and Merc (7-8)

His Sun, Merc and Neptune also conjunct my Vertex (1/2).

Can too much energy can scare a person off?

Or maybe im just dissilussioned by the Neptune squares and oppositions from his Neptune to my Sun and Moon.

Then there's the squares from my Mars conjunct his NN but squaring his saturn and pluto to consider which he may find uncomfortable.

Could the answer be in his own natal, he's got venus-uranus aspect and Uranus in his 7th house..I've not known him to settle with anyone...He's also got Venus in uncommitted Aquarius but then that's conjunct my Desc as well

Not sure if you can see those

But if so you should be able to see the Sun (him) and Moon (me) exact opposition which I think might be why we originally connected in the first place.

Be interested in your thoughts. His 3 planets conjunct my vertex more or less within a degree or two so perhaps that's why I'm more invested ..
