What does MC conjunct IC mean? Angle conjunctions are very important in synastry. There's a lot of information available about Asc/Dsc conjunctions and IC/Asc etc but I can't find anything about IC/MC..IP: Logged |

yungang_grotto,Yes, I tried to find something but nothing specific on IC/MC conjunction. If you find your old thread, please let me know. Or if you can, reply here whenever, no rush! Thank you. Also, in the synastry where you have this aspect, are his and yours Asc/Dsc involved too? Do they make any conjunctions to anything else in the chart? I have been reading a lot about angle conjunctions in synastry lately and decided for myself that they are one of the most important things to factor in when evaluating the relationship potential for longevity. I understand Asc/Dsc a lot better than MC and IC. Is Asc/Dsc axis more important than MC/IC? That's what I would like to know. IP: Logged |

No Asc/Desc is not more important. In fact according to some astrologers I respect, MC/IC contacts are more prevalent in long lasting relationships between mature people. This axis relates to our journey here on earth, from our spiritual/familial roots to our path in the sun... the MC representing the spiritual road we walk, the axis being the kundalini or energetic spine of the chart. There's nothing small about it and actually it's so integral and complex that it's more difficult to talk about than the Asc/Desc so people will over simplify or just leave it alone altogether. It doesn't mean it isn't important. It's crucial in terms of pur fulfillment, our sense of deep inner soul-self, experiential awareness... not who am I--but what am I doing? What am i feeling? Where am I coming from and where am I going? If people's planets or angles make contact with this axis they are stimulating all of these areas. There are many threads on lindaland about this. The best way to search lindaland is to go to google and type in "MC conjunct IC lindaland" the first link that pops up will be from lindaland. Below this first link will be a few others and the final link will be "more from linda-goodman.com". Click this and you'll have search results from only lindaland. I hope this helps!IP: Logged |

I wondered about that myself. I have it with the Aqua I posted the mercury question about. Our angles are conjunct and further, his Pluto and Vertex sit right on my IC.IP: Logged |

Is it still powerful if the MC and IC are in the same sign but not conjunct? Also our IC rulers are conjunct and my MC ruler conjuncts his IC ruler too. IP: Logged |
