What to think of a house overlay, when the planet in question conjuncts a house cusp tightly (less than a degree) ? For example - His Moon conjuncts my 11th house cusp from the side of 10th house by 20 minutes or so. Which house do see as an overlay? My gut tells me to take 11th, because of the cusp conjunction, but on the other side - it's technically in 10th. My Neptune conjuncts his DSC by less than a degree or so, from the 6th house side. Would the effect of this be like Neptune in 7th house (given the fact that my Neptune rules my 7H, so pretty much a powerful figure despite being an outer planet). IP: Logged |

The best of both worlds here. A planet conjunct a house cusp by a degree or less would certainly be felt in the next house! But since it's still at the end of the previous house there's some influence on that area of life too.IP: Logged |

I've identified planets conj cusps in synastry as a marker of significant relationships. It shows the person has a strong impact on you, touching many areas of your life, permeating your life, and also connecting them. I see a planet on cusp as creating a bridge between two houses, it impacts both, but it also has the ability to facilitate the way you use the energy of the 6th into the 7th, for example, or together. The other person's energy is creating this bridge for you.------------------ I seem to have loved you in numberless forms... LeeLoo's Esotericorner IP: Logged |

In this instance I create a bridge from 8th to 9th house for Mr Sag.

Hi Ceri thank you! This is one way of bringing things out in the open, this movement from the 8th to the 9th, I guess, and also bringing some wanderlust to the man possibly to some deep desires, but also fears (the 8th)------------------ I seem to have loved you in numberless forms... So cool. We have his Moon on my 11th house cusp, his Mars on my 9th house cusp, my Neptune on his 7th house cusp, my Moon&Jupiter on his 3rd house cusp, my Juno on his 6th house cusp. Nice. IP: Logged |

Yeah this is fun stuff, cusps I want to take a few degrees either side of the cusp, as I've noticed some crossover as much as 5 degrees either side or even more on angles... my Moon is 3 degrees past his 8th house cusp and his Venus is in my 7th but conjunct 8th house cusp by 2 degrees. My favorite thing maybe is that in Davison the 7th ruler is exactly (within 1°) on the 5th house cusp and the 5th ruler is exactly on the 7th house cusp! Saturn=the midpoint of these though lol... IP: Logged |

^^ I am not a professional astrologer or much of an expert, but I do feel strongly about this theory based on my personal experience. I have synastry with someone who touches a number of house cusps in my chart and vice versa. Synastry otherwise isn't really that amazing from what I've been told, but the experience is definitely felt and the connection is deep and powerful for both of us in spite of a supposedly "just Ok" synastry. "Creating a bridge" is the perfect way to describe the feeling - I do feel the energy in the house the overlay is in, but it feels much more expansive and readily facilitates the experience in the following house, if that makes sense. I think especially when the overlay is in one house then conjunct a succeding house (example: overlay in 8th conjunct 9th) it feels like this person opens up a whole new part of you and your experience in the world. It's very unique and powerful. Idk if that was helpful, lol, but I'm enjoying reading the expert's take on this IP: Logged |
