Do they think telling you about their past exes and how super hot they were is a way of them increasing their own value?

I don't think this behavior is limited to this combination at all, but in comparison to a Sag Moon / Cap Venus, or Cap Moon / Sag Venus, or Libra Moon / Sag Venus, and Sag Moon / Pisces Venus... the Leo Moon / Gemini Venus does it the most. I find it odd.

I have Leo Moon Gemini Sun, and find it a little, um, challenging, to not talk about my exes... Bad habit, I guess.

My past makes me who I am, and a big part of that is my relationships. Don't be threatened! They aren't with me now. You are!

I'm not threatened, I guess its the way this person brings them up that I find odd, almost like he will find ways to bring them into the conversation. And he's been with his current for 10+ years. If I were with someone for 10+ years I would completely forget my exes, eventually time would just erode that and I wouldn't even think of it. I have a Taurus Moon and Venus in Aries.

Well, I didn't mean "you" specifically, more of a general current partner "you", but I get it.

Venus in Cancer tends to hold on to the past. Still remember my first kiss. I was 5 - did I mention the 8th house Sun?

Yes. And you're right, not just limited to this combination, anyone who goes on and gloats about their exes or how many women they slept with etc is majorly insecure and looking to prop themselves up in order to appear bigger than they feel. So that ultimate you will like them.

Which is so weird to me. It doesn't make me like him, it makes me feel like I'm not good enough (I am, but this is the message I "hear" per se). You know what I realized probably plays into this is Mars, and he has Mars in Cancer so... he pursues sideways or at least through the emotions. Maybe?
