If somebody's Venus makes a lot of nice aspects (trines, conjunctions, sextiles) to your planets but your Venus doesn't make any aspects (or very few of them) to their planets, what does it mean?

Can it be said that the person whose Venus touches our planets is more enamoured and affectionate with us?

for this question i think you'd need to see natals and the house overlays in the synastry. you could have person A with no venus contacts to person B, but if their venus falls in the 5th/7th/8th of B, they may like that person anyway. you could have person B with many connections to person A with their venus, but if (natally) the venus is square or opposite to their own planets, they may not feel as much. it quite depends on the whole chart, starting w/natal to see what venus is doing in each chart.

With Mercury it's easy, even if they're a chatty person by their natal chart it doesn't mean they will want to talk much with you if their Mercury makes no aspects with your planets.

So what does lack of their Venus aspects to your planets do? Makes them like you less..? OK, maybe the opposite..what if their Venus makes lots of aspects to you?

what kind of astrology are you doing where you don't need to see a natal chart?! someone with mercury making no aspects to your planets may still chat with you at length... how could that possibly happen? single planets are useless because people are whole charts not one planet. you are asking a question that begets a superficial answer, really

An absence of Venus aspects never has any particular meaning by itself. If there are Venus aspects in the synastry, that is good enough. It doesn't matter whose Venus it is.

You could say that, but it wouldn't always be true.

I'm oversimplifying it of course. I normally look at both natal charts when analysing synastry but on this thread I'm not asking for synastry reading, merely looking at one aspect of it. Otherwise you can answer any question I ask with 'it depends, you need to look at natal chart'.
