How much importance do dual cosmodyne scores place in synastry? I have the correct birth time for four couples: my parents, maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents and a friend and her bf who have been together ten years since freshman year of high school and got married a few months ago. My parents have a negative dual cosmodyne score but have been together for 28 years, though they constantly bicker, but STILL are together. The other three couples also have negative or low scores yet never divorced and have been together for years.

Does this mean dual cosmodyne scores are useless? I didn't expect to see such longtime relationships with such terrible scores. Surely the terrible scores would mean the terrible aspects (a Mars opposite Saturn or Venus square Pluto for example) wouldl manifest sooner or later and cause divorce, but apparently not!

my parents have a terrible score, too.
Married for 42 years, still holding hands and being happy with each other, almost never been a day apart.

I think they are an interesting theory, they just donīt work. Or at least not in the way that we can simply compare scores, and if they are negative all of it is negative.
Maybe it also depends on what orbs are used or what aspects they use in their tallying.

But honestly, my parents get a bad score in pretty much all of these "scores", because of some squares they have, including Sun square Sun. What they have is pretty intense synastry, which makes sense as their synastry mirrors their natals.
Also their challenging aspects are mostly also getting harmonious ones to balance them out.

But if we just check the scores, it sounds like they would not be very compatible.

I know Kannon also advises to have more positive aspects than negative ones in a synastry, and while I theoretically agree, it seems there are exceptions. I think however there will be a difference to the challenging aspects. A Mercury-Jupiter square can never be as challenging as a Mars-Saturn-square for example. Though even that one does not have to be the kiss of death.
