I've read on here that having this aspect in synasty can make communication difficult. But if the person's Mercury is in the other persons 3rd house then this aspect isn't so bad is that true?

This was mentioned here http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/221300.html

and I also saw where someone else said this as well.

I have the semisquare at 0.01 degree orb with someone I've been interested in lately.

I am the Saturn(10th house ruler) and he is the Mercury (his chart ruler)

My Scorpio stellium is in his 3rd house and his mars is in my 3rd house.

We communicate farely well, but there's always a dry spell somewhere around the corner.

I try to spice the conversation up, but he doesn't go as deep as I would like. In his natal, mercury and Pluto are conjunct in his 3rd house which is surprising considering he stays more on the superficial side of things.

Our connection is solely based on communication at the moment so this aspect really rears its ugly head.

It definitely creates tension and sometimes I even wonder if we're willing to go the distance with this aspect creating a wall between us. It's very hard to get past despite my Pluto conjunct his mercury at 1 degree orb along with this aspect.

My Uranus and Neptune in the 9th are also sextile his Mercury. I'm curious to know the end result.

Someone else stated that if the persons Mercury is in your 3rd house it makes the square easier to deal with. His Saturn squares my Mercury but his Mercury is in my 3rd house. But my Mercury sextiles his Saturn he has Mercury square Saturn in his natal chart. And I have Mercury sextile Saturn in my chart. I guess that means he's use to the engery so it's not so bad. His Mercury also sextiles my Uranus.

He should barely notice it sense he has the aspect in his natal. You might feel a little differently about it, but then again, you have mercury sextile saturn in your natal so you still have that energy in your chart. Hard or soft aspects are really just a shift in energy. I think it shouldn't be a problem adding those 3rd house placements.

Is there a mercury-saturn aspect in composite?

It's just his Mercury that's in my 3rd house and no in the composite chart we have Moon conjunct Mercury.

Curious about this.

I have Mercury square Saturn DW with someone, and Saturn conjunct Mercury in the composite.

We started off with great communication, very fun and intriguing, but a few years have gone by and it is as if there is a big wall there between us.

We both natally have Saturn sextile Mercury, both highly aspected Mercuries as well. But it really does feel like there is a resistance or frustration when it comes to communication.

My own Mercury is conjunct their DC, so I tend to say much more than is probably necessary (paragraphs more) but it's always in this dire need to be as direct and clear in my communication as possible. He seems to go the opposite with as little, but as succinct as possible.

It is sad as I believe we care about each other a lot and have a number of other great synastry aspects. But the communication is a big difficult area.

(Composite Saturn is the feature of a stellium in our 7th, including Pluto, Sun, Venus, Ceres and Mercury. Eros asteroid is right on Saturn as well, which could lead to the frustration of lack of 'passion' in the communication'.)

I usually don't see a big problem with one aspect but if it's a running theme (i.e. appearing in both synastry (esp DW) and composite), the energy tends to become real obvious. It also depends on individual natals as well.

In synastry, my Mercury (chart ruler) square his Saturn (5°) but it doesn't appear in composite. My Mercury falls in his 10H ruled by his Dsc ruler. His Mercury falls in my 4H ruled by Mercury. In natal I've Mercury sextile Saturn while his sextile Uranus/square Neptune.

He can be silent at times while I'm talking and talking (not sure if he's even listening or happy with what I'm saying) but he's never critical or negative towards what I say.
