It is not easy to rank “hotness” of aspects. I have one adorable client, who asks me, continually, if this or that aspect is hot. This series of articles is dedicated to her. She knows who she is.

I am reluctant to put Dejanira(157) as the second hottest aspect because *I* like to experience the aspects before I feel confident about them. I have not experienced a “Dejanira heavy” synastry, myself.

However, Dejanira seems to manifest in a similar way to Nessus, when in conjunction with pivotal points in the synastry chart.

The relationship amps up when the woman’s Dejanira seems to be over powered by the man’s Pluto or Mars.

The woman plays out the victim role and this seems to be what is very sexually addictive/obsessive.

As I said, I have not experienced this, so am talking from the perspective of my clients.

However, I have seen Dejanira in enough aspects to postulate that it is the second hottest aspect in synastry.

For the other aspects in my upcoming list, I have experienced them myself, so can give more personal detail( not time and place)

Ami,

I asked you about Nessus- Dejanira before but I forgot whch thread it was.

Anyway, so my guy has a natal Nessus- Pluto square, 0 degree, and my Dejanira falls right there and makes it a T-Square -
his Nessus squares my Dejanira and his Pluto opposes my Dejanira.

We are drawn to each other like magnets, yes.

But then again, my BML is right on his ASC as well.

Hey Ami, I just checked out Deja and Nessus in my synastry and plugged them in with my boyfriend -- super surprised at what I found. Turns out his Nessus is conjunct my Sun and my Deja is conjunct his Chiron.

Our relationship is definitely "steamy", for lack of better term. It has been the most intense relationship of my life, but also very healing and loving.

Nessus does not start out bad. It starts out amazingly, like your dreams have come true.

It, usually, takes time to see, such as being married or being in a longer term close relationship, but not always.

I have never seen Nessus conj a personal part of the other chart NOT be abuse

I have seen people write that this is not the case, but my experience with 1000's of charts over the years tells me differently, anyway.

Atheaia,

is that the new boyfriend? I am glad to left the old situation and dared to experience new love. What other synastry aspects you two have, I am curious, as you said it is very intense. Also, you know we have talked about Nodal transit before. Did you have any interesting transits at the start of the relationship?

Orange

These combos can be the best relationship of your life and the most healing and loving, so to speak BUT when they are committed i.e marriage, what was bliss may turn to a great deal of pain, in my experience with charts and my own experience too lol

I don't know about this, but his Pluto is conjunct my Dejanira, and his Nessus is square these. It is hot but I think other aspects between us would point more towards the sexual compatibility and wouldn't have thought to look at Nessus and Dejanira like this... I can see it, but obviously find it troubling on some levels too.

I certainly don't think we can forecast how a relationship will play out based only on analysis of a single aspect pattern with these asteroids...

Very interesting to note this about Nessus, thank you for sharing your knowledge. With my last boyfriend of 4 years, we had Nessus (his) conjunct my Chiron at 0° applying - it was also a very loving relationship, although I could feel a bit smothered at times. I guess time will tell, I'll be sure to report back!

Orange! It is a new guy, although it was not the one I hoped for (the Aries I met at the beginning of my so far very strange nodal experience). We have very unconventional synastry, but some of the more positive things are my NN conjunct his IC at 1°, his Saturn/Mercury on my IC at 0°, my Sun in his 7th and Venus/NN + Venus/SN.

How are things with your love life and how has your nodal transit been treating you?

I looked up where Dejanira stands in my natal chart...it is tightly conjunct Pluto (within 1 degree), square my Ascendant (within 7 degrees if that counts) and sextile Mercury. is this some sort of a victim pattern?

P`s Dejanira is conjunct his NN - he likes to take on roles as a knight, especially when it is to fight injustice and protect the weak and, well, women.

What's your opinion on female's Dejanira conjunct male's Pholus (1.27)? It also "completes" a grand cross for him. It's opposite his Moon.

Ami,

This is slightly off topic, since it's not synastry.

I have Deja conjunct my Sun, 2 degree orb. What does that mean?

And for deja, is 5 degrees to wide?

5 is too wide, my Friend

I don't get the orb question though. Is deja conj the Sun 2 degrees or 5?

Sorry, I had two separate questions.

I have deja conjunct my Sun at 2 degrees.

The 5 degree one was separate and in synastry.

Deja conj your Sun may propel you to give your ego/power away to others.

The 5 degrees in synastry is too wide, K.

You hate bullying and will stand up for people being bullied

7 degrees is way too wide, my Friend

Ok, thanks. I figured it was something like that. My sun is also unaspected by the other planets, so I'm sure that makes the situation stronger.
