I have this in synastry with someone (not a romantic synastry), and I'm curious if this means we will be important in each other's lifepaths, and how exactly it will all play out.

We have her NN-anti vertex conjunct my AC and her SN-Vertex conjunct my DC. My NN is conjunct her Venus.

In a romantic relationship, I would read these as real binding aspects--but are there alternative ways to read it? Especially for different types of relationships?

Glad I found you, angel!

What exactly is the nature of the feeling? does it change the Vx person's experiences and views of the world?

Is it the kind of thing where you'll have Vx conjunction with everyone born in the same year as you were--or is it more like an Ascendent?

I have Vx conjunct Antivertex with my ex---I think it contributed to my feeling that the relationship was pivotal and important.

His is on my IC. So he feels that? His Pluto is there too.

None of them feels it, unless it is tightly aspecting a planet in one or both charts, especially conjunct, opposition or square.

Vertex and DESC or IC are all calculated point and act as bringing things into manifestation; what they do manifest and put a spotlight on is signified by the planets attached to them.

Very interesting, Ceridwen--can you say more?

I'm not an astrologer, but in synastries I've looked at, angulat conjunctions without a planet involved---like one person's AC conjunct another person's DC--seem to be highly significant in making the relationship feel crucial, central, pivotal to both parties. I was wondering whether connections between the vertical axis and angles, or vertex to (anti)vertex connections, would play out the same way.

In the synastry I mentioned in this thread, I think the intersection of my life with this person's life is sort of pivotal/turning point for both of us, but I'm unsure how it will play out--I think we're in the beginning of that story. I was startled to look at the charts and see how tightly she was attached to my AC/DC with both her nodal and vertical axes.

Are you saying if planets aren't involved, intersections between these points won't be felt? And that also intersections between angles and angles won't be felt?

"can you say more?"
Yes.

"I'm not an astrologer, but in synastries I've looked at, angulat conjunctions without a planet involved---like one person's AC conjunct another person's DC--seem to be highly significant in making the relationship feel crucial, central, pivotal to both parties."
Yes they are. But thatīs really it. Both feel it is a meaningful alignment, but the exact manifestation of this, how it is meaningful, how it translates into daily life, for that you need a planet.

" I was wondering whether connections between the vertical axis and angles, or vertex to (anti)vertex connections, would play out the same way."
I think they play out differently.
The angles bring into sharp focus whatever touches them, they are the conditions on which the relationship story develops. As I said, or rather as Eshelman said, whatever conjuncts (or squares) an angle is being brought foreground.

conjunctions and squares to the Vertex axis are also almost like that, being brought foreground, demnanding attention, but with a twist. It`s like you don`t see it coming, it happens out of the blue, which is why it feels like fate often, as you are blindsided.

"-I think we're in the beginning of that story. I was startled to look at the charts and see how tightly she was attached to my AC/DC with both her nodal and vertical axes."
Don`t get me wrong, this is VERY significant. In fact alignment with the angles and nodal axis (and luminaries) are the MOST significant occurence in any chart!

In fact I donīt really pay attention to anything in a solar return for example that is NOT in the foreground! As I want the big players to tell me their stories and not the whispers.

Equally in a synastry, though this is something I am just paying attention more and more recently, I do increasingly pay attention to the aspects that are tied to the angles, as they are just taking centre stage, and for me often explain why a Venus-Pluto-trine might play out BIG time in one case, and in another is almost not felt.

Put a Venus on an ASC and Pluto on IC, natally or synastrically, and both being in aspect to each other (no matter what aspect almost) and Venus-Pluto becomes a REAL important thing.

NOt to say the others are unimportant, it is just a matter of prioritizing for me, starting with the glaring pink elephant in the room, and then successively also take into account the cute mice in the corners.

"Are you saying if planets aren't involved, intersections between these points won't be felt? And that also intersections between angles and angles won't be felt?"

I think they will be felt as having the potential of being allimportant, lifechanging even. But the NATURE of what is being felt is the planet attached to it.

I doubt that there will be no planet attached to this. That would be very unusual, usually if ther eis such an interplay between angles, you also have a planet conjunct or square (up to 7 degrees for the conjunction, 5 degrees for the square, I feel generous with orbs at the moment. ,) ).

And this planet in question will become allimportant, and so his aspects!

So I guess it might be not such a thrilling idea to have an angular (mutual angles) Saturn-Pluto-square synastrically with no counterbalance somewhere else, - well probably the relationship would still be allimportant, but maybe in a way that you`d feel like the people would suck the life out of each other (not that i think Saturn-Pluto is a dooming aspect, it can be very karmic, binding, whatever, but it depends like always how the overall picture is.)

I was thinking about this Ceri

I am very authentic in my career.

When I do charts, I feel very congruent and very confident to show my heart.

If people don't like me, I really don't care very much.

My own integrity comes first.

My Moon squares my ASC, I am more afraid in real life and kind of hide behind armor.

I wish it were reversed, in a way.

As far as the vertex, I use it as someone bringing something to you, if their planet/asteroid conj your Vertex

I use the Anti vertex in the natal as YOU bringing these traits to the world.

So, if you had Juno there, you would bring loyalty and devotion to your world.

I don't do other aspects to the vertex.

I didn't think they really counted.

I could be wrong.

Thank you!

It's interesting when I see a chart and something seems to jump out at me in the synastry--the grip of her nodal axes and her vertical axes on my AC/DC sort of jumped out and struck me. I'm only now starting to look at the rest of our dynamics. It's almost like the charts don't say HOW exactly we're meant to be pivotal to each other.

Hmmmm that actually kind of resonates ceridwen as I do have vertex conjunct moon natally and it is conjunct her descendent and sun so we both feel it perhaps...but honestly I think the vertex owner is the one that feels there vertex activated especially since it's conjunct my moon. The sun/descendant individual my girlfriend is mainly feeling my moon nothing else. Vertex is one sided unfortnately. Her descendent is 7.30 degrees Aries my vertex 9.46 degrees Aries my moon 11 degrees Aries and her sun 13 degrees Aries.

Honestly I just feel so obligated to give everything to the angle or sun/moon/Venus/Mars owner when they conjunct my vertex/moon in Aries in the 7th house.

Hmmmm well I have my vertex conjunct my moon and when somebody aspects that it feels fated there is comfort. I also feel obligated to nurture the descendant a lot, and sacrifice anything I have to do in order to support the descendant individual. That's how it manifested for me as far as my moon/vertex conjunction to there descendent went. But then again it's also conjunct her sun so my experience might not be the best example. But I do feel unfornately when someone activates your vertex it's mostly vertex feeling it not the planet/asteroid/angle person.

I have had many people have there sun and Venus and moon conjunct my vertex/moon and to be honest I felt comfortable and a strong immediate connection with them it was very much a nurture comforted feeling I felt. I felt like we had chemistry almost immediately and most of these people last in my life quite a long time. I see myself nurturing them the most then them nurturing me.

What would a Composite Vertex conjunct DESC and Mars manifest ?
