I've asked this in a different forum like two years ago, and I just realized I posted it in the wrong forum two years ago which explained why I didn't get as many replies.

But I mean with stuff like:

Mars/Venus, Sun/Mars, Mars, ASC, Venus and Mars overlays in romantic houses.

How does that work out with two people who are straight?

For example:

One of my friends who is the same sex as me has Mars conjunct my Venus and my Mars sextiles their Venus.

Also, my Venus and Mars falls into their 8th house.

Another same sex friend of mines has their Mars conjunct my Ascendant (exact), but their Mars also squares my Sun.

How would that play out? Would the person just be attracted to my sex appeal or my style because they aren't necessarily LGBT?

Would it spell sexual attraction that isn't expressed?

Gym buddies, maybe?

I'm open for a discussion

Assuming that the two people involved are 100% straight, I think it would manifest in an appreciative way. You appreciate each other's style, fashion sense, etc. You might motivate each other to get things done. Your friend might look to you for advice on finances if he/she finds you competent in that area. He/she might trust you with his/her secrets, possibly secrets/concerns surrounding his/her sex life.

My brothers mars conjuncts my Venus exact which also happens to be my sun/moon mp. When I discovered this I was like whaaaaa? Plus I think he has Venus in Gemini around my sun.
We don't have an ideal sibling relationship, never been too close. But we find one another's jokes funny which is a plus.

I had Venus and NN conjunct my mother's Mars, and my Sun conjunct her Saturn. The reverse with my Dad, Sun Mars and Venus Saturn. (So, yes they had Saturn conjunct Mars DW... whole 'nuther topic...)

I would say I probably had a closer relationship with them than most children do. Closer to my Mom. Venus Mars made it easier for us to talk to each other I think. Though Saturn did on occasion prompt me to fight a bit to stand outside their shadows.

edit -

Hard to summarize because there are so many aspects and ways they could play out. But maybe in terms of conjunctions, the basic dynamic according to sign would be...

Aries: energetic, maybe hyper together, physically rough or teasing (slapping the back in a friendly way, things like that)

Taurus: more inclined to enjoy a slow pace, reveling in comforts, shopping together

Gemini: talking, laughing

Cancer: taking care of each other, like siblings with a Cancer Mars/Venus might get upset if the other one is sick

Leo: playing off each other for attention, showcasing their rapport as a spectacle...

And so on like that.

It's really just deep understanding I think. Like my best friend. I'm not attracted to him but we understand each other. I know he has absolutely no problems sharing his feelings with me about a woman he's seeing or sharing with me their sex life. He'll tell me anything. I'm not quite that way with him but it's my nature in general and he knows that.

Thank you all for knocking this one out for me.

It does seem as if two people in a platonic relationship that share this aspect will probably admire each other's qualities, my Mars conjuncts my close friends Venus and I admire their fashion sense and their style of doing things.

I noticed a lot of Venus/Mars connections in my family synastry. My oldest daughter's Venus trines my Mars, and my youngest's Mars trines my Mars. This means they have Mars and Venus conjunct. They also have Mars and Venus trine. They have a great sisterly relationship. They fight, but they get along really well and play and giggle a lot. I think as they age their friendship will continue to deepen.
The grandmother I was closest to had her Mars trine my Venus. I adored her and there was just a connection between us since I was born.

My mom and I have Venus opposite Venus and Mars opposite Mars. We had a very tempestuous relationship until I moved out of the house, and eventually out of the state. We do best with distance and have learned how to respect each other's differences.

My sister has the same Mars as my maternal grandmother, listed above. Therefore they have Mars conjunct, and her Mars trines my Venus.

I noticed this a lot in my synastries, so I started looking at other people's family synastries and noticed the repeating patterns. It's pretty cool!

I have Venus square Pluto with my daughter. She is Pluto.

There is an intenseness there. And she is always trying to tell me what to do which can be insanely annoying 😳

I always figured that if there was a lot of close "sex" aspects between two platonic people, that the energy either manifests itself positively in actively working together (projects, or even sports) or if there's no outlet for it to express itself, it builds up into frustration with one another.
