We might argue that Sun/Venus is powerful enough to beat Venus/Venus, like Westran's research has proven it to be the most powerful of all. And to take her progressed Sun to this natal Moon (opp / slowww mover) with that.. assuming oppositions can really be the deathblow to established relationships.....

With her pr Saturn being conjunct pr Sun (0°17) she was being REALLY serious. Maybe there was some bigger bump or a penultimate straw about 2 months back, when her pr Moon was on 22-23 Libra, and exactly aligned with her pSun-Saturn as well as Tr Uranus.

For him this Tr Uranus is of course squaring his n Moon-Venus-conjunction exactly and hence shaking up his emotional and romantic relationships and approach to them (could have been the start of a relationship as well of course, a baby or whatever, but sometimes Uranus IS what they say he is, a shaker and breaking up old conditions).

With Tr Saturn on his n ASC he probably wanted to hold on tho what he got, to the old, the status quo, but at the same time Tr Saturn also forced change and growth (which he might have not undergone willingly, so he was being subjected to it from the outside).

This Tr Saturn is also making a partile T-square with his Chiron-Uranus-opposition which is squaring his ASC-DESC, plus Tr Neptune on his Chiron squaring his DESC (and ASC), painfully dissolving relationships or changing the rules of those existing relationships (which he probably did not see for a long time)

The ecclipse took place on their composite Pluto (something in the relationship had to PROFOUNDLY change and transform or die); it also squared HIS Sun and aligned with his pr Venus widely, and very closely to his pr ATROPOS (another clear sign something had to die and be left behind, cut away, If not a pattern of behaviour then the whole relationship probably).

For her the ecclipse and Tr Mars made a Grand Cross with her natal Mercury on 22 Gemini - I guess she suddenly saw very very clear, and reacted instantly to that clarity (at least as she thought). Of course the involvement of Mercury also brings the reminder of children, not only communication, especially twins, and don`t they have twin siblings?

In fact on 15th septembe there was a partile opposition of Tr Sun on 22°34 Virgo to Tr Chiron on 22°56 Pisces, exactly aligning with her Mercury on 22°19 Gemini.

- prog Saturn square natal MC/IC, also virtually exact and very much worth noting as it suggests a time of pronounced stress in her domestic life; such aspects give the general timing of separations, breakups.
