Topic: Which aspects work IMMEDIATELY?

Most aspects take a certain amount of time to show themselves though I've noticed, the tighter the orb the sooner the aspect tends to be felt. Still, even with very tight aspects I find that it often takes at least a few days before the energy starts to be felt. I've read that certain aspects to the ascendant are immediate in synastry, but I haven't really noticed much from ascendant aspects. Perhaps I just don't have enough experience with them though.Have you noticed any particular aspects that show themselves at first sight? Or within meeting a person for the first time? IP: Logged |

yes, ascendant aspects are felt at the first sight, followed by vertex. Ascendant aspect usually feel warm and hot, like butterfly in your stomach, and vertex connections come off like a shock or electricity. sun connections and sun/moon connections are quite noticeable too. my long times relationships and friendships that were formed at the first sight (we both first noticed each other at the same time): - my bestie of 7 years, has sun exactly opposite my AC (her sun conjunct my DC)
- another bestie of 13 years has her AC exactly opposite mine
- a friend of 14 years and I, who are kinda romantically involved too, has her AC exactly opposite my sun
- another friend of 12 years, has her sun exactly squar mine and her AC opposite my sun but with a couples of degrees orb
- the ex fiance has his AC exactly opposite my sun and his sun square my moon, his uranus is also conjunct my vertex
- an ex bf has his AC conjunct my AC, and his sun exactly square my moon
- a very close male friend of 5 years (who also keeps asking me out but the feeling isn't mutual) has his sun exactly opposite mine and his AC opposite my sun
- another male friend/turned a briefly into boyfriend, has his sun exactly square mine
- I also dated 3 virgo men who have their suns opposite my moon, and one has his AC conjunct my AC, and another has AC opposite my sun
- I am also very good friends with one of my high school friends, and one of my college friends, and us three share the exactly same birth date (we have different AC, and I have different moon sign than theirs, but our suns are conjunct)
- I haven't dated for almost a year, but recently some guy is showing interest, and his moon is conjunct my sun (the feeling isn't mutual on my part though)
- I also briefly worked for a man who has mars conjunct my vertex and sun exactly mine. working for him really gave me a sense of direction and inspiration as to where to go to next in life.. IP: Logged |

Hi there  Do you mean, if I have a tight opposition with someone, and a transiting planet squares those, we are more likely to feel that opposition (or t-square) as the dominant energy, in that time frame? IP: Logged |

Yes, because each of your respective natal planets is being triggered, so you are also reactive to each other.
Which is one of the reasons tight aspects in synastry work so well. BTW I find that transits also work with progressed planets. I definitely felt the transit of Pluto over my pr ASC. 
usually the transits of outer planets are giving the central themes, and then will be brought into acute focus through transits of quick moving planets, usually Sun and Mars.

Brilliant  Well....ever notice I start about half my sentences with "well"?...it's a positive word, as in "all is well".... Well... Earlier today I was checking the transits for when I was first introduced to my Virgo ex. I don't remember the exact day, it might have been a day or two before. So here's my natal with transits being close to the first meeting chart:   Yeah no wonder I could never get back to the ole glory days. But as you see, the transiting Jupiter-Cap stellium trine overlapped our sun-sun trine, with Jupiter applying to his sun. And as that's the first meeting chart, I guess it had a lasting effect. quote:

^  Early 90s was super dramatic for me...ups and downs. I find it interesting that my ex broke up with me when tr Jupiter moved into Libra, started hitting his stellium there, then he asked me to marry him (made me swear I would marry him no matter what) with tr Jupiter in Scorpio conjunct tr NN, on our composite Scorpio stellium. Not sure of the orbs because I only remember the general time period. But...all these cliffhangers.... Then, THEN transiting SATURN moved into a square with my Venus dammit. And I lost heart. And broke up with him. Wow history makes a lot more sense with an ephemeris, you know that? IP: Logged |

Right...doesn't erase the pain. But maybe if I had known astrology back then (REAL astrology...I was totally into sun signs) it would have given me a better perspective on things. As it does now.Though I think I'm starting to not fit in with normal people because I am getting too "otherworldly." I just realized that this morning: that my natural preference is to spend my time with people who know astrology. That's my language. And it might define who I choose to spend my time with, more and more, as I get older. For now, I probably talk to you on the computer more than anyone, and a big part is just numbers. Anyway....
