Besides the typical Venus-Pluto aspect, what else would signify someone unhealthily obsessing over their partner or someone they liked who things didn't work out with?

But unhealthy obsession would be in the natal chart... quincunxes from personal planets to outers... many aspects though can show this... the way out is always shown too though, and whatever is unhealthy is actually likely to be part of an overall healthy process... eventually

in my opinion the 8th house isn't that obsessive and not even that hot. neither is pluto. if anything, people mostly seem to be running away and distancing themselves when these two are involved.

unhealthy obsessions which can turn into hatred and/or rivalry are definitely quindecide (165 degrees) in synastry, especially between people who each have qunideciles in their own chart.

sometimes the 11th harmonic aspects to someone's natal chart can also create an obsession in the 11th harmonic person. the obsession is usually of the positive kind though, like imitating that person's job or their style or the way they talk or pose, etc. this can turn unhealthy in many ways, especially if the two don't become a couple or separate.
