What are aspects in synastry where you learn from the other person? Would that Mercury/Saturn, Mercury in the 3rd house. Or MC/Saturn?

Planets on the NN tend to show the other person teaches you something or introduces to something new. Even if there's conflict there's usually something about the NN person that you could emulate. Some skill or talent they have.

Synastry planets in the 9th house show people that tend to 'lecture' you quite a bit. They often teach about morels and ethics, and help us to form opinions about what's right or wrong. They also often teach about ways of living very different from our own, possibly far far away. They're good at showing us the grande scale pattern behind things which can be seen when you look beyond the minutia of life. They put us in a philosophical frame of mind, and make us stare dreamily at the sunset while pondering the meaning behind it all.

Synastry planets in the 3rd house people teach in a different kind of way. They tend to keep us informed about the latest goings on in our local environment, random trivia, and what everyone's buzzing about on social media/the news. They make us curious about the world around us, and show us how to find intellectual stimulation for personal amusement (rather then to find meaning in life as is the case with the 9th). They show us how to find the various factoids we come across in daily life interesting.

This is just a hypothesis, but I've seen some indications that Jupiter conjunct Sun can point to a literal teacher/student relationship in synastry. Jupiter is the teacher. Jupiter/Mercury as well.

http://astrolady.wixsite.com/ writes this about "past life" teacher-student relationships:

quote:
Jupiter conjunct South Node in Synastry: This karmic link indicates the two of you may have had a teacher-student, guru-disciple relationship in a past life. The South Node person may have withstood immoral behavior from the Jupiter person, and is now looking for atonement. On the other hand, perhaps the South Node provided the Jupiter person with a great amount of good luck and fortune in a past life, and is now seeking repayment. As such, the South Node person may drain the Jupiter person of support, leaving them drained. The Jupiter provides fortune and luck to the South Node person; the South Node person is likely to see Jupiter as their “good luck charm.” The couple can help develop each other spiritually, which can be very positive. However, the South Node person may be overbearing over the Jupiter person, or vice-versa, thinking that they “know best.”

So I think Jupiter is probably involved as well as Saturn, of course.

A teacher with overlaying planets in our 3rd and 9th houses contribute to learning whether it's academic or otherwise. Generally, though Jupiter and the 9th house are associated with higher education (like university) while Mercury and the 3rd house are associated with basic education (like grade school).

Likewise, whenever someone aspects our Mercury or Jupiter in synastry we tend to acquire knowledge from them. Aspects our Uranus can contribute to learning also. Uranus is all about envisioning changes to come in the future both technologically and socially. Uranus rules the flow of information amongst the population at large, especially pertaining to technology, science, sociology, cultural customs, and other human interest type stuff.

Thank you I read that having Uranus in the 3rd house in synastry would be like learning through communication.
