I've never had this aspect in a sexual relationship before.. only with friends.

Nevertheless I did have my share of meaningful and loving relationships. So is the sun/venus conjunction in composite really the only "true love" aspect, or are there other aspects, who are just as strong and significant? LIke moon conj venus for example? Or vertex on the descendant?

I was asking myself that, too.

Sun conjunct Venus seems to point out to me, that the relationship has a potential for realizing itself, in becoming a couple.

But it doesn't automatically say "this is true love".

I had a boyfriend with this aspect in Composite, but I never felt touched emotionally by him. It was friendship, not Love for me.

Later I realized the Composite Moon was unaspected.

Was it love for him?

I think he was in love with me, or with the idea of being together. He wanted that relationship, but he failed to "see me". We split up five years ago and he still seems to struggle with it. But more with the loss of that couple thing than me as a person.

Of course this reminds me of the theory that Composite Sun is considered as the male in the relationship and Moon with the female.

But I'm not so sure about that

Maybe for this reason Sun conjunct Moon would be ideal..? Not sure either

It's more common, than you think, because Venus doesn't travel far away from Sun (same as Mercury). Mars/Venus or Sun/Moon on the other hand, or combination of those...

composite sun/venus is a good aspects which shows the two genuinely care for each other, but it's nothing earth-shattering or very passionate ime.

composite chiron on the hand, makes the relationship a very passionate one, when aspecting the composite sun, mars, venus, moon, especially by conjunction, square or opposition. trine and sextiles are hard to breaks too, but not as intense as those three aspects.

That's really interesting, I'd not heard that before - and I'd agree CapriciousCap that that does add more weight to sun-moon conjunctions if that is the case.

In the composite with my good friend, we have sun opposite moon (wide, 8deg), and sun exactly opposite venus (<1deg), which I know some people read as a sun-venus conjunction in composite terms.

In the Davison, we have a tight sun-moon conjunction in the second, widely conjunct venus out-of-sign (6deg).

We're still seeing how this plays out in our case, but I think it's interesting that the two types of chart offer similar but differing perspectives around sun-venus and sun-moon configurations.

I don't know how usual this is - but think it's an interesting point when thinking about the impact of a single placement or aspect.

THIS ^^^^

Every 3rd or so Composite I pull up has Sun conjunct Venus in it. It's beneficial but extremely common, and EXTREMELY overrated lol.

out of the 18 people with their birth data known that I have so far dated, I had sun conjunct or opposite venus with 7 of them. the ones left I can't remember their birth data. so it's like more than 1/3. in those relationships where the sun/venus conj or opp. didn't exist, I clearly felt something was lacking

vertex or the nodes on the DC/AC, vertex or node in aspect to the composite sun/venus/mercury and chiron/saturn (hard) aspects make a relationship feel special and intense too

if all 4 of them (sun/venus conj. or opp. along with the nodes and/or vertex on the AC/DC, along with the nodes and/or the vertex in aspect to sun, venus or mercury along with a hard chiron and/or saturn aspect to composite sun) happen to happen in the same composite, then it's really special!

check out this page too, it presents wonderful information! it might be a full day's work to check the charts, but I find their information astonishingly accurate!
