Hey guys - just wondering what your thoughts and opinions are on a composite fourth house stellium.

Do you think it's one of the better houses to have sun and Venus in? Do you have any experiences with these placements?

The composite also has moon in the 5th.

I'd love to hear about your thoughts and experiences about this placement.

I have read that a focus on the fourth house in the composite increases intimacy, and puts a real focus on the home and domestic life. Do any of you guys have experience with this?

Thanks so much for your insight

I'll bite.

My partner and I have a 4th house Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Vesta, Juno, Aura...hm...and I think Sappho. lol. All in Cancer.

The 4th house represents roots. In the physical manifestation of home life, real-estate, family and ancestry. Yes and yes. But there are greater emotional implications.
I heard it once described as the 'Basement or Seat of the Soul.' I don't remember where. In the natal, its the 'us' we are when totally alone. It's the foundation we stand on. Where we rise from, and where we go to collapse. So- roots. Where we go to drink and replenish ourselves. 'Home.' Inner. The thing that cannot be taken away. Power centre. Heart. We are our true 'selves' when we are 'at home.' The physical interpretation of it being about houses and homelife is a manifestation and symbol.

It's an interesting thing in the Composite. There is usually feelings stirred when the sun is there, mercury or venus. The moon is stronger. But when you put so many planets together its...fascinating. Emotions you can't quite put your finger on. Familiarity? Comfort? Intimacy? I guess so yes. A sense of unity and belonging. Or SOMEHOW being similar in some way, no matter how different the outer personalities seem. Sometimes, having the same emotional issues/outlooks, or a sensation of having similar past experiences....Feeling like family, perhaps.

When I see a packed fourth house in the composite I usually see similarities with the two natal charts with the ICs or the Moons, or the midpoints of the moons. E.g. my bf and I both have Saturn in the 4th. Both have moon square merc/venus (with the same signs also, but reversed). I have Gem moon, with Gem on my 6th house cusp- he has Virgo moon, with Virgo on his 3rd house cusp. We both have sun/moon midpoint exactly conjunct, and venus/moon midpoint exactly conjunct.
**Two of my family members had a packed 4th in the composite. They had their IC's, in Libra, conjunct exactly. A lot of the same moon aspects, too. Before I knew of their Composite, I always wondered why they were so close to eachother. They tended to isolate themselves from everyone else, genuinely preferring each other's company.
Sometimes the two people have synastry overlays into the 4th as well.
Just something I've noticed.... Do you see any similarities???

If there's a concrete example of how this manifests....I'd say there's an emphasis on nurturing, protecting, and supporting one another just in general. The Sun there is good, it puts the focus on those things. They tend to know how to get along peacefully with one another on the home front. They feel at home with one another. The level of emotional understanding is high. They may tend to isolate others around them, preferring to stick to their own little bubble. Just a very vague, often unconscious stirring really...like, 'I see who you are beneath all that other stuff.'
There can be mirroring familial experiences, or with the upbringing in some way.
They do tend to feel stronger together than they do apart.

****Moon in the 5th house finds comfort in pure expression, creation and play. I've had this with a few people and we can REALLY make eachother laugh. I see the Sun or NN more often for joint creative endeavours, but really that could mean anything in the act of creation. I've heard its a good position for making babies
There is sometimes an issue with not taking each other's emotional needs/issues seriously enough though. I find it good for friendships but...sometimes difficult in the long run. Depends on everything of course.

Thank you so much for that great insight SalemsEnd! I really feel like this man is home. They were the thoughts I had when we first met. Which is not something that I usually feel strongly. I'm not sure if there are too many similarities in our natals - we both have Libran suns. I have a packed second house and he has a Taurus ascendant, and he has a packed fifth house and I have a Leo ascendent. Does that sort of qualify?

No problem Amphitrite!
It could qualify. Sometimes the connections are not so obvious. Correlations between the energy of signs and houses are something I'm seeing more and more though- e.g. 11th house Suns are often surrounded by Leos or Leo/solar-types (as friends), etc, etc. So certainly.

There's a piece on the website 'TheInnerWheel, Composite Houses: the second quadrant' (don't know if you've read), that I found interesting. It talks about how the composite 4th house is the couple's sense of unity and rootedness together, and whether or not they actually act as a unit.
It's definitely one of the more interesting houses imo...not many people seem to really look into it though...
