When we read descriptions of Sun-Descendant conjunctions in synastry - they mostly talk about how the Sun person makes the Descendant person feel.

Unlike with Ascendant, where one can see attraction clearly goes both ways - I'm confused about the Descendant.

How does it feel to be the Sun person in this scenario? Since the Descendant is a *point*, not an energy of its own, does it mean most of the effect is felt by the Dsc person?

Elysia, synastry conditions are always experienced by both. Sun--DESC feels like a sunset. That sunset Zodiac point is familiar to the Sun Sign person; while the DESC person (with empty 7H) has no direct experience of the sunset Sign. Only a ruling planet connection and aspects.

I'm also the Sun person conjunct his
Desc.

This description I thought was helpful:

quote:
Sun opposite Ascendant: This is another indicator of a powerful attraction between the couple, as this aspect puts the Sun in the 7th house of the Ascendant person. The two individuals are magnetically attracted to one another, and the allure is fascinating. The Ascendant person sees the Sun person as the ‘perfect mate’; the Sun person expresses the qualities the Ascendant person lacks. The Sun person illuminates and stimulates the Ascendant person’s 7th house of relationships. As such, the Ascendant person desires to enter a relationship with the Sun person. The Sun person is very attracted to the Ascendant person’s appearance and self-expression. There is a feeling that the two are meant to be together, which can bind them together for a long time. You ‘balance’ each other; you are each others’ “better half.”
