As a venus-saturn individual (venus in gemini in 5th, square saturn in virgo in 8th - by 4deg), relationships can be challenging. The best way of describing this is to refer to that famous Groucho Marx quote - of not wanting to be a part of a club that would want me as a member! This has manifested in two ways in my life thus far: incredible creative ability and desire, tempered with laziness and pessimism so nothing gets done. In relationships I have tended to make bad choices - of people who have stifled me in various ways, especially around being controlling and emotional abuse - partly in echo to my father's treatment of my mother while I was growing up. The good news is, I'm now much more aware of these patterns and am working with this energy - and the real-life psychology, too. So here's a question. Would a strong saturn signature in synastry help with maturing these issues, or will it make it more painful? As an example. In the chart with my current 'it's complicated' (yes, this in itself is classic venus-saturn haha) other - I have saturn (and aphrodite) conjunct his venus and mars in virgo in my 8th. He has his own saturn drama to deal with - with saturn conjunct sun and mercury (all <2deg) in scorpio; and this sits opposite my sun. Our composite and Davison both have Capricorn rising so saturn is a key theme in our relationship. Certainly, we both have issues around trust we need to work through as individuals - he on an emotional level, and me on a physical level - and interestingly, the other karma tuner in our charts, the north nodes, are all in the seventh house - his, mine, ours. So in a nutshell - is a strong saturn likely to assist me learning to live my venus-saturn, or will it be suffocating? IP: Logged |

GREAT question, S. I think the whole chart would really be needed to answer cuz I believe love and acceptance is what heals, so asteroids like Ceres( unconditional love) and Valentine( selfless love) would really warm up the picture. So, I could not really answer based on just the question, but let's see what other people have to say! xx------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? That's a really good point to be honest. I think we are pretty lucky with the supportive accents but you're right - easier to see with a chart. Will figure how to post it in a bit IP: Logged |

If you put it up, please do it with no asteroids, at first, cuz the asteroids can muddy up the chart, if you have not seen the planets, alone, first imo. Please, do it large and Astro.com, too, cuz people will respond more, if we have these xxx ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Thanks Ami Anne, stripped out all additional asteroids, but left in the core ones eg Juno, Vesta, Ceres. Hope this isn't too confusing as is. All thoughts welcome IP: Logged |

I am always very honest, so I say that before I answer things lolYour Moon makes only one aspect to his chart and it is a square to his Sun. This could result in a lack of understanding of deep emotions, which may manifest as time goes on Also, your Pluto seems Unaspected to his chart, so he may not understand your primal, basic emotions. Your Sun makes one aspect to his chart, which is an opposition.
He may not understand your general kind of thrust i.e your basic identity. It opposes his Stellium. I am not sure how close things are, but lack of a general understanding of each other may show up in time. Let's see what B says and other people xx ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Thanks Ami Anne, I appreciate your honest take. Forgot to say I reduced the orb by 50%, so that does strip out a lot, including a wide my moon-his pluto square (his pluto at 29'45 so out of sign). We have a very interesting relationship - we are incredibly supportive friends with a definite chemistry edge, and I think the NN and angle involvements make it feel like we have a lot to teach each other. Time will tell how it pans out, but for now I am certainly enjoying having a very supportive friend in my life IP: Logged |
