We definitely stimulate each other mentally and can talk about anything. Together we dominate group conversations and one on one we can talk for hours and nothing is off limits. I trust him implicitly with my feelings and secrets and he does me as well.
We are very affectionate, yes. It flows so naturally between us that whenever we are at points in our lives where we are not allowed to show it, like being in relationships with other people, it creates a tension so unbearable that it's felt by all.

Or maybe THIS is the reason for that tension. It makes so much sense with the Venus/Mars mp on the Asc. This is also probably why the chemistry between us is so noticeable to everyone around. PDA used to be a very common thing between us even just as friends. Whether it be holding onto each other, having me sit in his lap, or stealing random kisses and touches. Like I said, very affectionate, yes.
Eta: I just realized that this means that our amore/lust opposition is on display for the world to see with it's midpoint on the Asc as well. This makes SO much sense. Just backing up that Venus/Mars midpoint.

It is much more than a hookup. We have been dancing around each other for almost 2 decades. Both of us have confessed our love for the other on multiple occasions. Yes, I've considered a relationship with him. Numerous times. At one time we were together. He had gotten down on his knees and begged me to be his. Begged me to let him love me. I never could have denied him, but my own actions later on are what ended the most precious love of my life.

He was a player, yes. In his younger days. He is in his late 30s now and has grown out of it. This was one of the things that kept us apart at first. Before the night he asked for my heart he had told me numerous times that he would, in no uncertain terms, never date me because he couldn't do to me what he did to every other woman he was with. He said he wouldn't be able to live with himself if I ever hated him. Basically, he didn't trust himself.
That t-square has reared it's ugly head a time or two. But if I really think over it, the only times we have ever fought are when the emotional tension between us has no form of release. This has led to arguments of epic proportion, but even those arguments usually end in I love yous.

I've never seen this in him. I am well aware of pretty close to all of his flaws and this is just not one. The only time he has ever been cruel to me was when he thought keeping me at a distance was for the best.

This is a bit unsettling, but I am sure of his feelings for me, if nothing else between us. If the feelings weren't real, he would have given up the charade long ago as the relationship between us has been extremely disruptive to hos home life.

We have been broken up for quite a long time now. But for some reason neither can ever actually let the other go. Every time we are near each other the connection and chemistry is still off the charts. He had backed away from me emotionally because I was with my now ex-husband. However, a week ago we had an encounter that has left me absolutely reeling and filled with questions I haven't asked in a very long time.

Our fights have never been anything except intense and I suspect it is for the exact reason you state. I guess one thing I can be thankful for is that we aren't critical of each other and never have been. This relationship has taught me unconditional love above all else. That I can both give and receive it.
Is there anything that could indicate a coming together?
Also, if you don't mind me asking your thoughts on the Saturn/Pluto/Moon trine I would love to hear them. As well as the opposition of Valentine to the stellium?
