Sun Conjunct the Ascendant
The Sun person brings a boost of confidence to the Ascendant person. This would be the perfect aspect for a coach or mentor. It could be the aspect for anyone who lifts someone up.

Moon Conjunct the Ascendant
The Ascendant person feels as if the Moon person is a very old friend, such as a best friend from one’s youth. The Moon person feels bonded to the Ascendant person, as well.

Venus Conjunct the Ascendant
I call this a “pure love” aspect. Venus is pure love, not sex, as some people may think. In this case, the Venus person may feel a sense of unconditional love for the Ascendant person. The Ascendant person may feel very special and very cared for.

Mars Conjunct the Ascendant
The Mars person may want to push the Ascendant person to reach goals. This is, also, an aspect for pure sexual attraction, felt by both people.

Mercury Conjunct the Ascendant

The Mercury person may desire to share his mind/communicate/form a mental connection with the Ascendant person.The Ascendant person may or may not feel the same. I am not sure about this one.

Chiron Conjunct the Ascendant
The Chiron person will, likely, bring his pain to the Ascendant person. How this would play out from there, the rest of the chart would show us.

Pluto Conjunct the Ascendant
Pluto is power. Pluto conjunct the Ascendant reminds me of a policeman(Pluto) walking over to your car(You are the Ascendant). You kind of shudder and feel faint. Pluto conjunct the Ascendant showers the primal power of the Pluto person onto the Ascendant person. This can make for sexy vibes or dread, depending.

Neptune Conjunct the Ascendant
Neptune can be a mixed bag. It can bring creativity or deception. Hence, the Neptune person may bring a creative spark to the Ascendant person. Conversely, the Neptune person may bring deception to the Ascendant person. For example, the Neptune person may be a professional, such as a lawyer, who may take advantage of the Neptune person. The Ascendant person may not be able to see the Neptune person clearly, even though the Ascendant person may be perceptive, in general.

Uranus Conjunct the Ascendant
Uranus shakes up what it touches. The Uranus person may shake up the very fabric of the Ascendant person. The Ascendant person may go from librarian clothes to glam girl clothes. The Ascendant person may go from Clark Kent to Superman. You get the sense, I hope. If the relationship continues, the Ascendant person may make changes in her appearance and mannerisms. I have a good one. Alice Cooper became a Born Again Christian who plays golf. Does that do it for you?

From what you're saying here, both the planet person and the ascendant person feel a connection, albeit with a nuance in each direction.

I'm guessing that asteroids to the ascendant have a similar feel, albeit with a weaker tie (even with a tight conjunction)?

So, eg, Ceres - the Ceres person likes caring/nurturing the ascendant person? Or is it that they see the ascendant person as someone who can nurture/care for them?

Or... Is there a mutual caring/cared for vibe going on here?

It seems that the planet person RADIATES the trait, such as love in the case of Venus. The ASC person feels it and appreciates it but it EMANATES from the planet/asteroid person.
