I saw a post like this on a different website and thought the results were interesting. https://www.elsaelsa.com/astrology/synastry-where-does-your-partners-sun-fall-in-your-chart/Where does your Sun fall is in your Partner's house &/or Vice-versa? IP: Logged |

I love looking at house overlays in synastry, it really is the gift that keeps giving I think. It also shows how important the birth time is. My ex was born 12 days before me, so a lot of our planets are conjunct. But in sun-overlay terms, my sun was in his 6th, and his sun was in my 3rd. It was short on romance and, bizarrely, communication was very poor and it felt very significant, the worse it got. It got very routine, too. As a comparison, my good friend's sun falls in my 9th, and my sun lights up his otherwise empty 5th (barring juno). We have fun together, and work very creatively - and I just feel 'lighter' when he's around. Additionally, the language we use reflects a lot of our overlays. I always say it feels like we have a lot to teach each other, talk about future adventures and have dipped our toe into a couple of offroad runs together. I never made the connection with the overlays before now, so thanks for the Elsa link 😊 The 5th house overlay worries me a little that it's a bit frivolous for something more serious in the future - but our moons, venuses and mars's overlay into the 7th and 8th houses, so that could help add some gravitas 😊 IP: Logged |

How long have you been together? 8th/12th house relationships are not easy. IP: Logged |

@Beautiful_LightWe've been together over 7 years. We were together when I was 18 and he was 21. It devastated me when we broke up. Now we are in our 40's. This is best relationship I've ever had and I have had plenty. We have some good supporting aspects: Sun*Sun, Moon/Venus, Sun/Moon midpoint on Sun, etc... Red hot aspects: Mars*Sun, Venus/Pluto Weird aspects: Vertex/Lilith/SN on Asc-Desc axis. Having that Sun/Mars in my 12th house was disconcerting at first, but I learned to let go and trust. He was very patient with me and has never let me down since this second incarnation. He has a loaded 8th house and lived those themes. I have a Scorpio Mercury and Chiron in the 8th. There is very little he could do or has done which would make me clutch my pearls and scurry off.

This is only good for a double-whammy. Me and my boyfriend have our Suns conjunct, and both in each other's 2nd house. We've helped each other financially when we needed so. For others, it may be that the 2nd house person will feel used. IP: Logged |

Yes I've read somewhere that it says that the 2nd house person may feel used. Do you think this is always the case? I don't mind helping the person maybe it's because my Saturn is conjunct his Moon?

It says here that with Sun in the 2nd house synastry. The Sun person admires the house person. And in return the house person will recieve an incream in self-esteem. https://illumeastrology.blogspot.com/2014/04/sun-in-your-partners-houses.html So I guess the 2nd house isn't only about money? I'm not sure if this is true but this site says that the 2nd house also has to do with sexual attraction? http://www.leeloosesotericorner.com/blog/long-lasting-sexual-attraction-in-synastry-basic-checklist. It's not always about money, I don't think. It's just that most people, including me, will think about finances when it comes to the second house. Other than finances, the 2nd house does have a lot to do with self-esteem. I can't speak for others who have Sun in 2nd house overlay, but I think finances are a major theme. I will agree, though, that having this overlay brings increased self-esteem for the house person. In my experience, that has been the case. I think it's wonderful that my bf thinks I'm wonderful. He calls me a unicorn. It does improve my self-esteem knowing he thinks that. If you don't feel comfortable with always providing the Sun person with money, I would suggest putting up boundaries so you don't get taken advantage of. Hopefully others with this overlay will share their experiences just to shed light on the matter. Btw, I can't open the link you put. It just says 404 page not found :/ IP: Logged |

Yeah but what if the Sun person is having a hard time financially? Wouldn't it be likely that the house person would want to help the Sun person? IP: Logged |

in most of my relshps my sun was in their 10th or 5th their sun in my 5th and 2nd as frequently...I liked the 2nd overlay better, the relshs with their sun in my 2nd were very romantic, sweet, sensual and peaceful for me...finances I'm not sure about...I never lived with them, never gave them money, never took money from them, but we ate a lot together and indulged in all other sensory pleasures, and like I mentioned the sexual interest was high with a strong urge to be naked with the person all the time...maybe it's just my chart though because my 2nd covers almost all of virgo and I don't know if anyone knows how filthy they can be! once my sun in their 7th, and a couple of time their sun in my 7th I'm more comfortable when a 7th overlay is with a female, with a male I sense a lot of tension and stress people who are in my 4th are often controlling towards me...I do feel comfortable with them but it can never be very romantic or nice for me, because I have pluto there and it also covers almost all of scorpio my first love as a kid has sun in my 9th (conjunct my moon) my hottest relshp with a person whose sun is right at my 8th cusp..the most uncomfortable reshlp ever, but very passionate of course, with lots of games and jealousy involved on both parts.. I think they ended up hating me a lot the person I loved the most has sun in my 10th, a few degrees away from my MC, my sun is also in their 2nd, and my moon conjunct their AC IP: Logged |

In my experience, yes. There is definitely an urge to help the Sun person out. When my boyfriend quit his job at a factory and had to make ends meet, I paid the full price of our rent and groceries. When I got kicked out, my boyfriend let me stay in his room he was renting at a shared house. He could have gotten kicked out if the roommates found out, but he helped me anyway. He let me stay for free even when I offered to pay rent. I think this is also what makes it good for a relationship. You basically have each other's backs if you have a double-whammy. I'm not sure in the case of just one person experiencing the overlay. Where's your Sun in his houses, btw? IP: Logged |

I've always seen the opposite, the person from the Sun who helps the house person. I met a person with her Sun in my 2nd house, but the Sun person was quite rich, and I never needed help nor felt the need. The person from the Sun who helped me in a few brief moments.IP: Logged |
