In vedic astrology someone's Natal South Node conjunct their own ascendant often leads to the native having health problems throughout childhood and having trouble with retaining proper nutrients in their body. This is because the South Node acts like a black hole and tends to suck energy from whatever planet it conjuncts. So in synastry, when someone's South Node is conjunct a partner's planet there is a familiarity BUT the planet person often ends up feeling drained or held back. If someone's SN conjuncts your moon you can potentially feel very emotionally drained after spending too much time with the Node person. Therefore it's possible that in synastry having someone's South Node directly on your ascendant - which represents your physical body and health- can potentially make you have health problems over time as their South Node can suck the vitality out of the ascendant person if they live together.

This is just a theory and putting it out there since I don't really know anyone with this conjunction.
