I met someone recently. We have a lot of good aspects but we also have a very close orb-ed Sun opposition Sun. This happens to be the most prominent aspect on our chart. Could someone help guide me to check if this person is compatible with me? Thank you. I've inserted the composite chart below if it helps. IP: Logged |

You need to look at the synastry charts too. If you post those, I'll try to look at it and give my opinion. IP: Logged |

35%(3.5/10) overall synastry potential. This is naturally repulsive. Composite 20% (2/10). DISASTER! Don't even consider a union. Here's how to check:Ascendant represents physical body external appearance and image. Her Scorpio ASC and your Libra ASC are semisextile by Sign. Water and Air do not blend well: steam, fog, you don't look good together (related to extremely weak composite scalar synergy of 20%). Sun represents basic identity type. Leo oppose Aquarius creates health challenges. Moon represents feeling nature. Her Leo Moon oppose your Aquarius Moon. Doesn't feel good together. Mercury represents communication, transport, and commerce. Her Leo Mercury inconjunct your Capricorn Mercury (by Zodiac Sign). Confusion, misunderstandings, transportation challenges. Venus represents values and comfort. Her Cancer Venus, your Pisces Venus are both in Water Signs, and compatible. Mars represents proactivity, drive, assertiveness, outreach. Her Taurus Mars, your Pisces Mars are moderately resonant (Earth and Water) by Sign. Sexualove (Venus and Mars) is tempting, but don't go there! quote: Originally posted by mattva: Thank you TruthisTheWay!

Thank you comdoc.Wow that's some serious stuff standing in the way. I'm the Libra Ascendant btw. So I guess her Leo/Scorpio nature is not gonna gel well with mine. I actually had this checked by a Vedic astrologer who said it would be fine. She is supposed to contact me next week, so I guess I'll find out sooner than later. IP: Logged |

The Sun opposite Sun and Moon opposite Moon placements can indicate both attraction and opposition. I agree with Comdoc that they both can be difficult at times. Interestingly enough, their Sun conjuncts your North Node. This indicates that there is a strong connection between the two of you. With that being said, with North Node connections there is a feeling of moving forward, which can sometimes be scary, because it means venturing into the unknown. It's wonderful for Spiritual growth, though, and if you can make it work, it can turn into a wonderful relationship. I wouldn't worry too much about the Mercury quincunx Mercury. Quincunxes are controversial. Some see them as being negative. Some see them as being minor aspects with little relevance. Some see them as being positive, in certain configurations. I wouldn't say this is a make-or-break aspect, by any means. That Moon opposite Mercury might be an issue though. It would represent an issue between your ability to communicate, and their feelings. Maybe they would feel personally attacked if you shared some constructive criticism, or had a disagreement. Or maybe you'd have difficulty getting them to understand your perspective. Their Mercury being conjunct your Neptune is a positive, though. At least, sometimes. On one hand, there can be a seemingly telepathic link, and they can tell you positive things you want to hear. However, with Neptune, it can also be an illusion. Not because they are lying, but because the two of you might get caught up in some kind of illusion, and not see the truth of a situation. Still, not the worst synastry aspect to have. The Mars and Venus placements are fairly compatible. However, it's a bit concerning that there are no Personal Planet synastry aspects to Venus. If I were to analyze this from a Magi Astrology perspective, there are a few good connections. However, it would require much more analysis, and I don't believe in following Magi Astrology by itself for relationship advice. Overall, not the best compatibility, but not the worst either. Maybe you two could be good friends, I wouldn't advise anything beyond that, though. IP: Logged |

Vedic Astrology is different from Tropical Astrology. It uses a different system. From my understanding, they don't emphasize degree aspects as much either. IP: Logged |

truthistheway, Thank you! I didn't even see this until the bump from Randall. The interesting thing is I've waited for so long thinking I'll meet the right person after being not very selective about my partnerships throughout my life. In this case, I prob will put my best foot forward. But it is a bit disheartening that there may not be anything beyond an average match. I had a reading done by an astrologer friend, and he said my window of finding someone closes around august/september after which there will be delays and not so ideal scenarios. Being a double aqua sun/moon, my head says go for it. It might be illogical or even too late to sit around waiting. But my libra ascendant says, there's always hope! Again thank you! IP: Logged |
