If you were the mars person in synastry were you annoyed by the ascendant person or were you turned on by them?

From my experience, Mars is usually very turned on by the Ascendant person!

Either irritation or attraction but seldom indifference-especially when in close aspect.

Mars in synastry has a tendency of making the reaction HOT or at-least raises the heart rate.

My friend had this aspect with a guy, she was the ASC. It was never anything between them, but she found him to be hot while he thought she was annoying and a complete turn off. It seemed she wasn`t really his type. They also had her sun square his venus and her ASC oppose his saturn which might explain why he didn`t view her as ideal both on a physical level and personality. They actually had a lot of mars going on but it played out differently on both of them. She felt the attraction more while he felt the annoyance and irritation. I think also it depends on what you got in your own chart though. Like with these two, my friend has her mars in virgo in the 2nd house so she definitely has an attraction to earthy guys and he was an earth stellium.

It is both. Attraction and annoyance. This can be really good because it brings the mars person out to try and better understand their martian traits and it uncovers the ASC traits to help them as well. Can be tough but worth the effort. The two are in sync at times but annoyed at other times. The key is to understand why they are annoyed and get past it. It works both ways. I speak from personal experience.

Experienced this with a woman, her Mars in Aires conjunct my Ascendant/Mars.

Beautiful Light's and Aires23's comments accurately describe the contact.

As any astrologer might guess, in the long haul we proved to be too much of a hot thing.

Being the short-fused (and alcoholic) cracker she is today, I suspect she'd go to the crossbow if she saw me coming.

Don't play with fire unless you're quick off the line.
