However, in the case of just the Nodes- look to see what they have aspecting the Nodes in their own chart (even the rulers of the house the Nodes are in), to lend insight there. For me, when I feel my Nodes activated (as example), it feels like I'm compelled to do something, OR rely on what's familiar. Usually if I do rely solely on what's familiar and don't challenge myself however, it will end up feeling frustrating and even toxic. But that really depends on how the Nodes are experienced in the person's chart.
His NN is conjunct Moon/Pluto in his 3H Libra, and my Saturn is squaring them all. I guess it's deeply felt by him but I wonder how he feels. IP: Logged |

Well the nature of Saturn is more like it feels like a restriction or pressure to conform to something. Saturn in any harder aspect can feel cool in the beginning, but usually over time we end up feeling like we need to censor ourselves. Likely if your Saturn squares their Moon/Pluto then they might feel their (rather intense) emotional nature will likely want to censor himself over time. He might feel a pressure to not be so ... intense? It depends on everything else. But with NN there it could be a sense of your presence may encourage him to refine the expression instead. Not all hard placements have to express negative- they just need more work. IP: Logged |

I wonder this as well - what to make of NN squares in synastry and composite?

I'm glad this doesn't have to manifest negatively. His emotions are both intense and unpredictable whereas I have a more consistent beat. We rub on each other actually. Sometimes he'll be rational with me but starts going off logic the next minute. Sometimes I get pulled into an emotional debate with him...and then I realised we're arguing over a moot point.

hey there, haven't been on the site for a very long time and was googling for a saturn square NN in synastry and saw the question about the composite - which I can speak to with too much accuracy. In my experience, and this has been about 4/5 times, whenever saturn is in conjunction with the one of the nodes or in hard aspect (quincunx/square) the relationship never gets off the ground. People that I ADORED but for one reason or another it never materialized. Unfortunately they were all narcissists, so it seems that in my case the Saturn separative aspect was actually protecting me, while teaching me very invaluable lessons. Basically I had that aspect with every one of my karmic soulmates. IP: Logged |

Well.. a 4 degree square, would that really be expressed between partners? If so, I would like to give my point of view as nodes person. But.. bear in my mind.. my saturn squares his moon! IP: Logged |
