Not sure if this should be in Personal readings or even Soul Unions but thought I'd start here first.Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of Vertex conjunct Saturn in synastry please? I thought I read somewhere that it's often present in relationships that don't get off the ground but I can't seem to find that again. Also have Saturn conjunct South Node which I think would be even more prohibitive to a relationship but would be interested to see what people's thoughts are on Vertex conj Saturn first really. Many thanks *edited to add: scratch that part about SN conj Saturn! My mistake the orb is way too wide... be grateful for small mercies haha!* IP: Logged |

have read that Saturn conjunct NN is when it doesnt get off the ground.. But not 100% sure.. But with Fishy his Saturn conjuncts my Vertex.. I cant really say what the energy feels like.. Just it feels very fated and karmic... Our lives have been intertwined for the last 8 years.. Actually longer but we knew of each other for 8 years. IP: Logged |

Thanks Lioness yes you were absolutely right - I finally found this on the cafeastrology pages "Saturn conjunct the Nodes can be a separative aspect. I am not as yet certain of exactly why this is the case, but I have seen it time and time again where Saturn conjunct the North or South Node in a composite chart or in synastry is present in romantic relationships that don't get off the ground properly." http://cafeastrology.com/articles/relationshipastrologytips.html It's interesting what you and JFK say about it feeling fated and karmic - it's an accquaintance of mine (we've not even met properly just spoken on the phone) but every time I dismiss it (or try to) he keeps coming back and revealing more that we have in commone and the feeling of 'fate' grows. I do feel we'll meet at some point. Similar to how your connection sounds Lioness in that your relationship seems to keep going/keep renewing its ties and also similar to what you describe JFK in that he has something about him that I want to emulate and learn from. Something challenging me to become better and more honed in a strange kind of way. Thanks so much for your replies IP: Logged |

The exact day my mom got married to my dad her progressed Saturn was exactly conjunct my natal Saturn. I wasn't born yet, but the progressions in her chart on her marriage day compared to my natal chart are telling since there are lots of exact conjunctions. It seemed to me that her progressed chart confirmed that her marriage to my dad was fated and it would produce me. I personally believe all marriages and any subsequent children are fated to happen. Her progressed Saturn was in her 5th house (of kids!) conjunct my natal 5th house Vertex. IP: Logged |

Wow, this sounds really amazing!! I wished I could see, if I'm destined to get children with my boyfriend. I also believe that this lies in our destiny, something like a contract our souls have made. IP: Logged |

I can't tell you exactly what it feels like, but I have a very very close Vertex-Saturn Conjunction with a man's Uranus-Mars Conjunction. I'm the Saturn-Vertex person. I've heard that Vertex is actually felt in both people esp if they are strongly attuned to the energy (I don't think he actually feels it). For instance lets say this guy you have this aspect with is strong in Saturn or whatever your Vertex is (via sign or house placement), he might naturally gravitate to you, and feel that perhaps there is something about you he can't forget. My example is Mars-Uranus guy has his Conjunction in Scorpio. My Vertex/Pluto/Saturn are in Scorpio. His Venus/NN/Sun and Moon Midpoint are in Leo. My Vertex/Pluto/Saturn are all in the 5th. In my example the timing is terrible because I met him in March, and he is getting married next week. His Chiron is also Conjunct my NN in the 11th. So that doesn't help. Having said that, I would think Saturn Vertex is about time. I don't think that it would hinder a possible relationship, so much as I would think it would want the relationship to be realized when the timing is right. The timing is right when Saturn deems it to be correct, it could be when children grow up, or both are single, or both are financially sound...etc. But the point is Saturn wants things or a relationship (could be romantic or friendship...depends on the synastry between the two), but will ONLY want it realized when certain restrictions are gone or conditions are met. That's what I would assume would be the interpretation. I say this because I am firm on knowing I'd want something to happen with Mars-Uranus Man if we were both single (ie no restrictions), and I recently admitted this to him. If anyone has a clear cut idea that would be great!!! Esp from the person who is receiving Saturn and or Vertex. IP: Logged |

It's funny because Mars Uranus guy is someone I had thought I met to get pregnant by lol...as crazy as that sounds. His Mars-Uranus Conjunction falls in my 5th on my Saturn Vertex Conjunction in the 5th, his Mercury-Eros Conjunction falls in my 5th Conjunct my Pluto in the 5th. We also have dw Moon Mars synastry (meant to be super fertile). His Mars is Sextile my Moon, and my Mars is Conjunct his Moon. IP: Logged |

My Saturn is conj my boyfriend's vertex by 1 degree, and also squares his Nodes!! (My IC conj his NN. His Venus trines my Vertex, his Mars squares it. So much for our vertex and NN contacts.) There was an instant attraction between us, although I was hesitant at first.. I'm 4 years older and I was going through a break up at that time, so wasn't ready to start anything new. I'm glad he didn't give up! We moved together a year later. We're together now for 1 1/2 years, but it feels much longer. I don't know about the Saturn square to his Nodes, whether this will break us up one day, or whether it's really some kind of magic glue.. But would say, that Saturn on Vertex is quiet significant.. but maybe only in combination with some good aspects. I think my IC on his NN made him feel right at home with me! Maybe it's also important to note, that he has strong Satun placements in his chart. He has Capricorn on his DSC, so he's used to that energy. IP: Logged |

Your boyfriend sounds similar to me. I have Capricorn on my DSC. This is funny, I was looking at the synastry of my own partner and his Saturn is Square my North Node. I looked at the synastry of the man I'm super into (Mars-Uranus man), and my Saturn is Square his North Node (my Jupiter is also Conjunct his South Node, and his Jupiter is Conjunct my IC). And then finally I looked into the synastry of Mars-Uranus man and his bride to be. They have his Saturn Square her North Node (her Venus is also Conjunct his South Node), double whammy Mars Venus synastry (his Mars is Square her Venus, her Mars is Opp his Venus), double whammy Mars Mercury (her Mars is Trine his Mercury, his Mars is Sextile her Mercury) synastry, and finally a Moon Venus, and Sun Sun Trine. All in all, I'd say they have friend like synastry. But that is perhaps why it took them so long to to get to the alter (7 years). I'm guessing that Cancer Moon of his was feeling like something was missing, but couldn't quite put his finger on it. Her being an Aquarius Sun with Aries Moon was content. IP: Logged |
