If you have this aspect in synastry with someone would the 8 degree orb be too wide to be felt? IP: Logged |

Do either of you have planets creating aspects to fill in the gap?For instance if the Venus person had Mars square their Venus, also square the other person's Pluto then you have a common communication with that Mars - you also have a midpoint connection. Or, perhaps Juno sits between the Venus-Pluto, linking it all more closely. One of the most important points synastry is the trigger by transit, but you can also think of it like music and harmonics....In a personal chart an 8 degree conjunction can be felt, in a synastry chart you're going to have to feel very close by other factors to experience it. It's not impossible to do so though and perhaps a Venus-Pluto that you have to work to feel, rather than work through because it makes you feel so much, is a balance...? IP: Logged |

It's 7 degrees but I also have the trine in composite. I've read a lot about the opposition in synastry. And I can relate to a lot of things that were mentioned. I've read that sometimes the Venus person can become obsessed with the Pluto person. And that's how I feel at times being the Venus person. This is why I wonder if it can still be felt even though the degree is wide. IP: Logged |

My Mars does square the other persons Venus but I'm not sure about Juno. IP: Logged |

My Venus in my natal chart is in my 8th house so maybe that's why I feel it more.IP: Logged |

Well Juno was just used an example, the asteroid bodies can link planets (obviously if there were already other planets in the conjunction you would have mentioned).Rules are meant to be broken, orb parameters are a guide. Most astrologers will use the 4 degrees rule as a guarantee that an aspect will be experienced. However, I have noticed wider orbs be felt frequently also. The 8th House will add a sympathy. I have Sun-Jupiter around 7.5 degrees apart and I definitely 'feel' this. It's nowhere near as strong as if it were exact, but it's active for sure. :-) If you're experiencing this then work with that I reckon, but obviously the closer the aspect the more say it will have. I'm sure there are other, closer areas of your synastry that are being played out more vividly. My first rule of synastry is 'the more the better' without bias initially, the more contacts that are low orb the more the two people will be bound together. Always relate synastry to potential transits to build an image of the life of the relationship. For instance if you have a Venus-Mars exact square you will both have these planets activated at the same time, always. This is where inconjuncts become very interesting in synastry, and should be considered important when they are exact... Hope that makes sense :-) ------------------ blog: http://waxlobster.blogspot.co.uk/ IP: Logged |

it's wide, but if you personally have a tendency to develop such intense emotions, then there's nothing synastry can do. you will simply develop them. i have venus/pluto at 2 degrees with someone and feel it like hell. it just WON'T GO AWAY.IP: Logged |
